Q: My wife inherits 1 million(done deal). Please suggest a portfolio what provides some growth, with dividends of 35k to 50k annual income. She has financial advisers looking for the business and I need advice to counter them (including the 8k to 10k management fees). Her current self directed portfolio (160k) is: AW.UN, AYA,CAR.UN, DH, GH, IPL, NPI, PKI, PPL, RY, WJA, DHX.B, & XTC.

Q: Hi,
I'm looking for additional REIT exposure. I currently hold HR.un and was considering adding Calloway in light of the recent acquisition. Would you view Calloway as a good acquisition, or could you list your 2-3 preferred REIT names

Q: We don't have any consumer staples yet as we have been focusing on dividend yields for retirement income. We are looking at adding one or more of the above to our holdings for growing income and capital gains. Q: Hello team,

In order to diversify the portfolio I am looking for some investments in biotech. Since Google recently declared the project for early cancer diagnostics based on nanotech I trust it could be fast growing area (risks are high of course...I understand). At the same time regardless of Google declarations (which might positively affect stock of nanotech companies) their stock behaves consistently bad. Three companies I took are just the example. So stock behavior varies from catastrophic with NSPH to just not good with BIND. Do you have any ideas - is it company related issue or it is trend which shows that market "doesn't believe"?

Q: Doing taxes tonight for someone and apparently I bought and sold this stock in early 2014. Went back to check if was a mistake on brokerage trading summary but remember it now. When I googled it to refresh my memory, was surprised to see it now trades at $0.52/share....it also says 19% yield. Last 5i Q & A is from December 2013 after NEC acquisition. What happened in 2014 to this company/stock? Is the yield data accurate? Any opinion on stock and sustainability of dividend?

Q: Sherrit has been on a good tear the last few days, without significant new information (far as I can tell) since their quarterly update.

Is this recent uptick due to production results at Ambatovy? Do you think funds are buying in?

More importantly, where do you think this stock will be in 6-12 months?
