Q: Any ideas where the bleeding on CUS (Canexus) might cease? Book value? I am not averaging down yet, and prefer not to, but it is often the only way to dig oneself out of a deep hole on worthy cmpanies.

What are the risks this could get very much worse and averaging down would prove perilous? I suspect a divvy cut may be priced in here. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Q: Don't understand Nuttals reasoning-seems like Surge made a good investment at 4.45$ a share with dividends of 4.5 million a year and can sell the shares if they desire.Seems like it doesn't weaken the assests and the downturn as results of Eric's comments enabled me to add to my position at 5.70 $ a share today

Q: Hello 5i,
I’m looking to buy two good dividend paying stock, on my list is A&W Royalties Income Fund, AG Growth International, Gamehost Inc, HealthLease Properties REIT, Trimac Transportation, Prism Medical Ltd. and Student Transportation Inc (STB). With stability and long term hold in mind, what would be your order in purchasing these stocks?

Q: Good morning. I would appreciate your comments on CPG Crescent Point which released Q4 results today. They do continue to grow production and reserves but also net debt was up 18%. They use the metric net debt to funds flow which is down 9% reflecting production and revenue growth. Does this make you feel any better about the company's balance sheet?

Q: Good Afternoon Peter and Team,
Presently I have $42K in a TFSA. I would like to run with a portfolio of 10 high quality growth stocks. I don't plan on taking any money from this account for 10 years or longer.
Right now I have holdings in:
BNS
BAM.A
FSZ
WSP
SCL
LNF
Cash
I would appreciate your opinion of my present holdings and any suggestions as to how to better construct a diversified, 10 stock, long term, growth oriented portfolio. Dividends are nice but not absolutely necessary.
Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Q: I have a preferred share coming up to the reset date March 31 CCS.PR.D and it will reset to GOC 5 year ~1.46% + 5.21 bp. What will likely happen to the share price on this date? I will get my dividend for sure but the yield will drop hence will the share price drop, stay the same as current price or what?

Q: My 100 year old father has a few dividend paying stocks but most of his portfolio is in GIC’s. One GIC just expired and I am looking to buy something new for him. I find that a one year renewal will only achieve a 1.4% interest. He will not need money from this source for about 5 years thus can invest in anything fairly safe. The only issue is death which I believe would result in selling to satisfy estate requirements. I was thinking of banks, pipelines, etc because of limited downside and relatively high dividend rates compared to GIC’s. Can you please comment and provide some suggestions? Thank you. As always I very much value your comments.
