Q: Hello. Seen Peter on BNN today. CMH I have held for some time and every so often it will have an 8 or 9% drop. It seems thinly traded. What is your opinion of it? Also, SWKS (U.S.) was a market performer and over the last while has fallen considerably. It acquired another company. Would this be the reason for such a downward trade over the last while? What is your opinion on this. Hate to mention CXR again, but I am still holding AVO which CXR seems to be going the same route as AVO. There is always a reason why stocks are going down, but in the case of these two and a few others, they seem to have quite a considerable drop. Is it just the market takes a hate to these companies or is there something extra we don't know about them? I know I am asking the right people for this type of advice. Dennis

Q: I agree that it is a great business but I would appreciate more details on the valuation metrics you look at to evaluate the company. You mention that it is cheap but I see it at 24 times LTM earnings of 6.57 per share. I find that to be on the high end of it's historical range. Maybe I am missing something here ? Is there a better metric to look at ? Thank you!!

Q: Could you comment on the Hydro One IPO available now at some brokerages. Do you think the price range is reasonable (very annoying when it is not specified exactly), and do you see any growth in the proposed dividend. Do you think it might be better to just wait and buy on the market, if at all.

Thank-you

Q: The IPO for Hydro One was announced. Any reason not to go for an Indication of Interest to try for some shares? Thanks.

Q: 11:31 AM 10/10/2015
Hi Peter:
The article in the Oct 10, 2015 Globe and Mail suggests that the Hydro One IPO will come out very soon with a suggested price range of $19 to $21 per share and with a suggested yield of 4.2%

How would you value Hydro One when compared to other utilities with comparable yields such as Brookfield Infrastructure [5.36%], Algonquin Power [5.33%], Emera [4.35%], Fortis [3.86%]?

Will Hydro One be burdened with debt and, looking ahead, will it need to raise money for ongoing operations?

Would you be buying Hydro One at it's IPO or would you prefer one or more on the other utilities which have proven operating records and strong growth, most with rising earnings and dividends? Which would you buy for regular income?

Thank you....... Paul K

Q: Good morning

Can you please give me an update on ird as a possible small cap investment?
Have you become more favorable to the company since your last update in February?
Living in TO they definitely seem to be in the right space for future growth.
Are they a potential takeover candidate?

Thanks very much!

Q: What do you guys think about kinaxis? I know it has a strong balance sheet and no debt. However, is this one of those stocks that are "always expensive"? I am not sure how fragmented the supply management business is and if kinaxis can benefit from it. Are the profit margins good?
Thanks guys keep up the great work!!

Q: I am thinking of increasing my positioning in NFI. It has held up well in the current market, pays a reasonable dividend and I think, should have some growth in a positive U.S economy, even if interest rates increase by 25 basis points. How significant are insider holdings? Institutional holdings? and has the increase above $1 billion mkt. cap.already been priced in. Another sentence ending in a preposition. thanks for all you do.

Q: I received several calls from a company that sounds like a pump and dump organization that encouraging me to buy Aqua Power. They are relentless in their message promising a large return. The news from APSI looks good but I am suspicious of the approach they are using. I appreciate sharing your knowledge of APSI and the Company that is promoting it "Investors Edge located in Costa Rica"

Thanks

Q: Could you please do a research report on this company? TPK is based in BC and they appear to own the rights for a proprietary technology ("Swiss Water") for removing caffeine from coffee. Appears to be quite a profitable + growing business. Views on TPK would be appreciated. John
