Q: Hi Peter I own a considerable amount of Callinan Royalties (CAA). The company is doing a normal course issuer bid("The Bid") thru the TSXV to increase share value. Can you please tell me what this means. CAA has large cash reserves and no debt. Thank you.

Q: Hello 5i. I hold an equal number of shares of G and OSK. I seem to be in a position of gaining on the swings and losing on the round-abouts. How would you play this? Sell G because, as you suggest, they may have to raise their offer, and their decline will thereby be hastened while OSK can only gain? As always, I look forward to your reply.

Q: Appreciate your thoughts on Goldcorp offer to buy OSK (Osisko) at $5.95 / share vs $5.17 last closing price. I have held this since $8-$9. It would seem this is an unappealing offer and future prospects for OSK appear good. What would your expectations be? Thanks.

Q: We have some cash and I am thinking of purchasing either STN, BAD or G for a 3% weighting. Do you prefer one over another? Am I correct in thinking there is less risk (...and less potential increase) with STN? We have about 11.5% in industrials - AVO, MDA, ALC, LGT.B & HNZ.A. We don't own any precious metals.
Thanks

Q: Could I have an update on Torex TXG I see you liked them last March. They seem to be expanding the resource and moving forward very nicely, while the stock price has dropped to close to book value. I realize the sector risk but i'm always early to buy, this has to be a winner in a couple years as long as it doesn't go to zero. Am I missing something?
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter
My question is on gold and whether it is a good idea to keep some as part of a balanced portfolio. I currently own GLD and unfortunately entered when gold was $1650 an ounce. Do you recommend maintaining this position ? Changing to gold stocks ? { if so what } or exiting the gold sector and investing elsewhere ?
Thanks Garth
