- Fortis Inc. (FTS)
- iShares S&P/TSX Capped Utilities Index ETF (XUT)
- Hydro One Limited (H)
- Brookfield Renewable Corporation Class A Exchangeable Subordinate Voting Shares (BEPC)
Q: Hello. I am looking at getting exposure in utilities. Could you please provide me with some ETF's - U.S. or Cdn? or stocks? Please rank them as well.
What is considered a reasonable management fee for ETF's?
Thank you.

5i Research Answer:
For stocks, in Canada, we would suggest (ranked) FTS, BEPC, H. XUT for a utility suggestion. Generally, as utilities are high dividend stocks, Canadian names are better for many investors because of the dividend tax credit. We like to see ETFs under 0.50% in fees, or even less for a 'general index' fund. The more specialized the fund the higher we are willing to go.
