Q: Hi Peter and Team. I would appreciate your opinion on Bonnett's Energy, (BT-T) which provides completion and production services to the oil and gas industry. It has a market cap. of 86 million, total return for one year of 47.5% and a five year return of 133%.It's yield is 14.2%. It recently had a big run up. It's growth and yield make it most appealing, but am I missing something? Your comments would be most appreciated. Many Thanks. Bill

Q: Hi Peter and 5i.
Amaya announced last week that it has received conditional approval to graduate to the TSX from the Venture. Could this move by itself affect its stock price or liquidity?
Great service, thanks.

Q: Hi Peter
Raging River RRX keeps gaining and closed today at $5.16. Should I hold or take a profit at this point? Would Ballatrix be a good replacement?
Love your sevice

Q: Hi Peter, I am 64, teaching part time and have about half my retirement savings in a RRIF. I have suffered 2 disasters chasing yield , Poseidon (PSN), and Sprott Resources Corporation which just cut it's dividend just 6 months after declaring their first dividend. Terrible management in both cases. I am looking for monthly pay, and 8 to 9%. Any guidance? Is ATP still too uncertain? Am I reaching? I am trying to not touch capital but my losses in both have hurt.
Thanks
Robert
Thanks

Q: Chartwell (csh.un) has dropped more than other REITs. Could you comment on the company and do you think it is a good time to buy this or other REITs such as HR.UN or REI.UN. I have a well diversified portfolio and I am not overweight in REITs. I greatly appreciate your advice. Thanks
Q: Hi , any thoughts on AJX-T AG Junction Inc? thanks, Michael
Q: Hi Peter and team,
Thank you for providing good insight into this very volatile environment! I am a recent graduate into the trading game and review the Questions every day!
Now to my question: Approximately 8 months ago, I purchased CBO and XCB as part of my fixed income portfolio. Since the threat of rising interest rates, both of these have declined. I have a 5% weighting on each and wondering if I should keep these or take my losses before interest rates really do rise?
Looking forward to your response.
Thank you.

Q: NTB has dropped along with APO after the announcement of positive phase 2 trial results. Is that a case of selling on good news, or think that something else is going on? Your service is much appreciated, Peter
Q: Hi Peter & 5i: This is in follow-up to your answer to kelsi’s question on Twin Butte (TBE). You indicated that you “would expect a dividend cut in 2014.” Can you please explain the basis for that expectation and maybe provide a couple of examples, from TBE’s peers, which are comparatively better on the specific metrics that you see as red flags of an upcoming cut? Thanks as always!
Q: Hi Peter,

Q: Hi Peter and the 5i Team,
Last night Michael Bowman was on BNN. He suggested holding gold bullion e.g. the CGL ETF instead of holding a gold miner such as Goldcorp. Yet when I plot returns over various time periods, G has done better than CGL and other gold bullion ETFs. I know that 5i recommends holding some gold in every portfolio (specifically Goldcorp) and presently I don't own any gold at all. What is your take on Mr. Bowman's gold strategies? If a portfolio is approximately 300K, would a 5% gold weighting be too much because of the volatility? Thanks for providing such a terrific service.

Q: Hi, Peter and Team: HLP.UN has been sliding and has a payour ratio in the nineties. I notice on their Web page, under the News Release section, that they've posted a dividend disclaimer. Any cause for concern?
Thanks, Dale

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I know its way too early to discuss Third Point Re, TPRE as a company, however, knowing that the CEO is a veteran and their Chief Investor is Dan Loeb, do you think this could be a long term hold?

Q: Re Roy question and others on preferred
There is today an exceptionally interesting article from Eric Parnell linking the fate of Preferred NOT on the vagaries of interest rates (negative correlation of -0.13), but more (and THIS is very interesting)from the performance of the stock market (correlation +.63) which leads him to believe that the poor performance lately of the preferred bodes badly for the stock market.
You can get it from Seeking Alpha.
As usual, publish if you think it is worth doing so.
