Q: Could you please comment on K-Bro's recent results. The Market doesn't appear to be impressed as the stock is off the earlier highs. It's in my RSP and am in mainly for income with longer term growth to the dividend with some capital appreciation. Does this thesis still hold. I am slightly below a full position in my account and am looking to use this weakness as an opportunity to average up.

Q: I play the small cap stocks. Too often I find the price open up the next day down 20% because of refinancing. I will run my ideas by you before making any more buys. They are KLS Kelso and RCL Riley recently both down, QST Questor recent digest pick and NCU Nevada Copper. I also hold Canola CNE. What is your opinion on that? That's four potential buys and one I am holding.
I have to get on a winning streak.
Thanks,
Dennis

Q: What do you think of Difference Capital's earnings? Nav seems to be going up. Is it a good time to jump in? Thanks!
Q: Good afternoon 5I, Re: CBO, laddered bond ETF, Rob Carrick has an article on Globeinvestor saying that the actual yield is only 1.6% and not the 4+% shown on the stock charts. He seems to claim we are being
hoodwinked by just about everyone on the actual returns on these ETF's and that a ladder of GIC's would beat the ETF's hands down. Your opinion on this would be appreciated. Thank you

Q: Hi Peter, I own both RX.v & DND and they both reported solid Q1 earnings results. Is the significant difference in the P/E multiple justified by quality/sustainability of the earnings.
Q: I would like to add Real Estate in my portfolio,
i am looking at FCR first capital realty with a p/e of 18.3, a book value of 15.93 (below its trading value and Dream Properties D.un which is trading at less then book value, has a p/e of 9.6 , which would you recommend and why, it seems D.un is well underpriced at this time. thanks for the service, Jean

Q: Peter; I have made a substantial profit on IPL. Should I take some money off the table and put it in VSN for the dividend and long term growth still in the mid-stream/pipeline sector?
Q: At any given time I have between 10-20% of my portfolio in cash to take advantage of dips in the market . I do worry about this cash sitting "idle". Several years ago a broker recommended I keep the funds in a money-market fund but I found it actually lost money... Not sure what I should do with the cash. I need quick access to it and would be happy with anything beyond a 0% return! Looking forward to hearing your advice. Thanks
Q: Hi Peter;
I am interested in VSN and MFC. Both could double in 2-3 years. Right? VSN pays much higher dividend than MFC. VSN also has a diversified business. Your thoughts please. Thank you.

Q: dear 5i team: I know stocks are the best way to go compared to mutual funds but if an investor wanted a hands off approach to investing to save himself from himself could you advise for a core allin one holding would you compare phn balanced D seires .88 mer and btg772 balanced 1.21 mer and steadyhand founders fund 1.34mer. this would be a retirment holding. of note btg seems to beat phn inspite of higher mer.and if i buy steady hand with my capital my mer would be 1.07 and with a lower unit price i would get far more units for capital appreciation.hope this is not to vauge a question thank you larry
Q: Peter and crew:
At year end in your model portfolio, you made some adjustments to the equities held. As a new subscriber I was wondering if this ever occured during the course of the year (i.e. if you felt a company was no longer worth holding). If this was the case would you put out an updated report prior to the switch, or give your subscribers any sort of warning/justifications about upcoming changes to the portfolio.
Thanks as always for a great service!!
Phil

Q: Re Timbercreek, I had hoped to hear whether the dividend from this mortgage company would be treated as interest or capital gain.
Q: Hello Y'all
I hold a lot of Twin Butte(TBE) and am concerned about the sudden departure of the CFO as well as their forecast. Is it possible he did not agree with the co.s wish to report the numbers as they were presented for the report and chose to resign? Is the reaction realistic or overdone?
Great service and thanks.
