Q: Could I get your opinion on Alpha and Fission (ANW, FCU) they continue to put out fantastic drill results but are both going lower. Which of the 2 do you prefer.

Q: Peter, I bought Dundee Real Estate several months ago at $33 before the US Feds talked of easing tapering and it nose-dived. Today it was close to $29.00. Is it worth considering buying more shares to average down, assuming that it is a reasonably safe stock or would I be better off in another reit such as H&R which appeals to me. Thanks in advance for your good advice.

Q: Peter, Lana & Co,

I am looking to rebalance approximately $25K in the energy sector (a 10% sector weighting for me). It is currently 3% Suncor, 7% Cash. You have made a couple comments recently that SU was NOT your favorite to keep / outright sell it. I have shortlisted the following companies to purchase based on your previous comments: Tourmaline, Bellatrix, Vermillion, Peyto, White Cap and Suncor.

I would like to own 3 or 4 companies moving forward and feel that Tourmaline and Bellatrix are must buys for me, but not sure where to go from there, what weights to buy the companies at or if I should be including a US name for balance? Given a fresh canvas, what 3-4 companies would you chose and how would you split a 10% weighting across those names? I would like exposure to both oil and nat gas.

Investment Profile = 30 years old, dont need to withdraw from my portfolio anytime soon, risk on.

Q: Hi Peter & 5i: I am looking at adding to my very small position in Painted Pony. It closed at a new 52-week low today and basically has been doing its best inpression of a gold stock for the past year. Has it had poor operational results that I may not be aware of? My impression of it is great assets, good management, solid balance sheet and potentially very significant long term upside. All that said though, it looks like the proverbial falling knife. Your thoughts please?

Q: Good morning..currently rebalancing RRSP portfolio...currently own ARX,BTE,WCP and E representing 18%...was thinking of reducing ARX and adding TOU...is 18% to high in current market conditons?
Utility pipeline...BEP.UN,IPL,NPI..representing 15%...thinking of selling NPI to reduce allocation to 11.5%..is this allocation okay whith the current market...

sorry one more question...I have no exposure to healh..if wanted a 5% holding what would you recommend?

Q: I was wondering what your opinion is on using short term real return bond etfs as an inflation hedge? I was considering purchasing VTIPX on the US markets since there are no short term real return bonds in Canada.

Q: Re: XCS; a small cap index ETF, the performance has been less than stellar if one compared it to Mawer small cap fund (closed to new investors); is there another small cap index other than
IWO (US) that you could recommend to look at ?
