Q: Peter,
I know you have commented on DEE, Delphi Energy in the past. Have you looked at it recently? It seems like it has had a lot of good news lately. I appreciate your opinion.

Q: Hi 5i,
My question is regarding the model portfolio.
I am thinking to follow the model portfolio with about 200k starting next week I plan to substitute TCN for FSV (since I hold that one already) and a ~ 5% allocation in each of the 20 stocks.
What are your thoughts on this approach, would you substitute any others at this time?
Are you expecting a major rebalance of some of the names in a few weeks?
Would you change the allocation to the current allocation of the portfolio or is the 5% target reasonable.
Thanks

Q: Are there any Canadian or U.S. based companies you would recommend in the agricultural industry?
Q: THI - I am down 8%. Is it the time to buy more, hold or sell? Many thanks.
Q: Just wondering about the silver market and where you think its going in the near future. As well what do you think of INM as they have found some silver down there in Mexico. Thanks for your insight
Q: Hello best team.
do you have any insight in dsm?
It focuses on rare earth.
With the precious metals heading in the right direction, could this be interesting as well?

Q: I currently have 25% of my total portfolio in resource stocks with the majority (50%) of that in gold (G, YRI, ABX) and silver stocks (SLW). With Teck’s recent drop, would you sell ABX and use the proceeds to buy Teck (to add some diversity and get a better overall return - hopefully) or would you hold on to ABX and ride the current gold bull up? I have a 2 year time frame.
BTW, the video feature is a nice touch! Thanks

Q: Peter: I have been researching a number of fast growth companies and came across Thermal Energy (TMG). I typically do not invest in penny stocks but the financials look compelling. Can you comment? I am not adverse to risk.
Thank you

Q: What is your opinion of Barrick Gold (ABX). I am considering buying a gold stock to add to my portfolio so is this one you would recommend?
Q: AVL SEEMS TO BE ON AN UP-TICK. THEIR RECENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NW TERRITORY METIS NATION SEEMS TO BE ANOTHER POSITIVE SIGN.
AT WHAT POINT IN TIME WOULD YOU CONSIDER GIVING A SERIOUS LOOK TO INVESTING IN AVL? EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION FOR THEM... THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP!

Q: Do you think JDS Uniphase looks good right now? Is there a reason why they are doing an exchangeable share at the of March. I don't quite understand what that is for. To me it looks like it is acting as a prime takeover candidate.
Q: Currently I hold WIN (5%) and SYZ (12%) in a small, aggressive growth (taxable) portfolio (Majority of my funds are in other well balanced portfolios). Heeding your advice about paring down individual positions that become overweight, I need to sell some of SYZ and acquire another Growth Tech stock. What would your top 2 picks be ? Thanks again for a terrific service.
Q: Hi Team,
It's a commonly held belief that the price of gold rises as the economy deteriorates. For the past few weeks, we've been seeing upward movement in the bullion and in gold stocks but no real sign that the economy is tanking or even headed that way. Do you have any recollection of past periods where both gold and the economy grew in tandem? If so, this would make me feel a bit more secure buying miners at this point in time.

Q: additional comments on lifs and rifs, you have to be 65 on jan.1 before you can split income, all lifs rif and company pensions can be split, but not old age security or Canada or quebec pension. dave
Q: Do the latest results on JE change your opinion of the company in any way, thanks.
Q: About 4 months ago, and just before becoming a 5i member, I bought 300 CPG in a TFSA, mainly for income but also a bit of growth (I'm currently under water on the stock price). Since joining 5i, I've read repeatedly that you're not keen on CPG. Would you suggest that, despite holding CPG for such a short time, I would do better to take my losses and move on to SGY, for example? The yield is even better than CPG, but does the smaller market cap make it much riskier?
Thanks for your insight. Chris

Q: I hold WEQ and I know the organic growth prospects look very good. It's market cap is small compared to HNL and BDI.
I am retired and love the WEQ dividend plus the prospect for some growth.
Is it likely that WEQ will be taken out by one of the big boys?
Thanks,
Steve

Q: Hi Peter and 5i Team,
My only material exposure in my RIF is 5% in Silver Wheaton. I would like to initiate a new 5% position in XMA. Your view please on the timing and the opportunity of my thinking.
Thank you all for the excellent service.
