Long time subscriber, first time asking a question.
First, let me thank you for a great service. I am no longer a rudderless ship.
Last week on BNN both Bret Cook and Bill Harris (for whom I have a lot of time) recommended Roxgold. My question to you has three parts.
a) Do you know management and if so would you comment on them?
b) The financials: Are likely to have to do a financing?
c) Could you comment on the political risk of Burkina Fasco.

Q: In my version of your model portfolio I also have 20 stocks. Six are in your model, and four are not but are companies you have reports on. The others are PPL,RUS,PEY,DHX,ATD.B,SJ,OTC,CEU,and SUM. Would any of these stocks rate lower than B- if you were rating them? Thank you.

Q: I would like some general information. The development of LNG in Northeastern British Columbia seems to be moving along quite well. The Government is really pushing for it and they have most of the First Nations on their side. There is site preparation taking place on the West coast at Kitimat and Prince Rupert where it is to be shipped. What I would like to know - is there a particular pipeline Company that is best positioned to take advantage of transporting this LNG.

Q: Hi peter do you think its a bit late to buy Trinity (TRN-N) or are we just getting started with replacing railcars in North America...what are the latest targets for this stock +can you recommend another supplier of railcars?...do you think this is a better stragety for a growth than AVO?...Thanks for all the great work

As a retired,long term income investor, I purchased WIR.U on the TSE only to eventually find US withholding tax was taken off the dividend payment.I sold immediately. How common is this for a TSE stock and how can I avoid this in the future?

Q: I bought Surge a few months back, and added more a month ago. My ACB is just over $6, and it makes up about 3% of my portfolio. I know you like it, and am considering increasing holdings to a full position of 4%. However, it has been a very poor performer over the last few weeks, and I have some concern that people may see it as another Crescent Point (isn't it partly the same management?) with endless new shares and dilutions. Think it is better to sit tight, or do you view it as a good buy at the current price? Please also comment on the distribution stability.

My question is, SGY is not an "official" recommendation. What is it about the company that keeps you from formally recommending it? Does it have deficiencies or risks that concern you? Q: Good Day, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to sell my LSG shares in favor of G. I have taken a loss on LSG however would like to keep a gold position in my portfolio. Does this make sense? Thank You

Q: Thanks for all you do and happy trails on your bike. With the recent problems at CUS and the associated price collapse, are there potential corporate buyers for this suite of assets in North America and can you 'guess' at a couple of possible names? Would someone like Chemtrade be one? You may count this as two questions!! No urgency on reply.

Q: BTE..r and yesterday's question. My understanding is that when the deal closes BTE.r will have accumulated but unpaid dividends attached. So BTE.r already has $0.22 attached that will be paid at the close. This in the NR announcing the close of the financing but is not in the initial NR about financing.

Q: I understand that lower betas mean a less volatile stock, but what is the signifigance of a -0 beta? Also, can I have your opinion on AET.UN? Too risky?

A general question if I may. Though I haven't done any research on the topic, it seems to me, as a fairly observant watcher of the market, that there is quite a strong correlation between a stock's performance leading up to its reporting and the
reporting itself. Ie. it seems with better than chance odds, if a stock does well in the few days before reporting, it's report will be positive. I appreciate that reports are not stuck in
Fort Knox or somewhere pending release and so I'm just wondering, given your considerable experience in the market, if you have noted a similar correlation. Leaks, of course, could come from anywhere, but, I guess I'm wondering if this apparent (to me at least) correlation is something one should perhaps take account of in buying/selling a stock just ahead of reporting.
I hope I don't sound like some sort of conspiratorist, I'm just wondering how level the playing field is on some of these things.
