Q: I dumped a bunch of shares in these companys on friday and over the weekend heard someone say that this energy pullback will not affect the pipelines but I see they are all down again this morning . Should I buy them back now or wait for a few days to see where they go from here .
Q: Hello Peter & Co.
Congratulations for your equity portfolio's outstanding return in 2014; I now own 15 of your 22.
My exposure to the financial sector consists of BNS, EFN, HCG and TD and the technology sector consists of CSU, ESL, CGI, MDA and OTC.
I am seeking to add SLF to the financials, DSG to technology, DH a hybrid fin/tech; but I only have room for 2. Because I own 2 banks, I'm leaning towards DH and skip SLF.
Your opinion is most appreciated.
Thanks,
ony

Q: Hi 5i,
I am currently 5% down on CPG in a non registered account. I am thinking of using this loss to offset my capital gains. I understand that there is a 30 day waiting period before entering into the same stock, but does this apply if I want to purchase before 30 days in a RRSP or TFSA instead of the non registered.
Thank you.
Janice

Q: Hi, I have 15% weighting in REITS, with 9% in these 3 Industrial REITS. Can you please comment on the Industrial REITS in general, as well as these 3 REITS specifically? Jeff
Q: I was looking at the US asset class 5 years returns an was surprised to see MLP's as indisputable No 1 (+200%), even far far from the Reits at +87%.
Could you explain the difference(S) of the 2 assets classes and if there is an MLP defined class in Canada?
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, just wondering what your team thinks of Savaria? It's still a relatively small company based on market cap, but EBITA grew close to 20% y/y in the last quarter, and the company again raised it's dividend. They seem to be quietly building momentum, they seem well positioned to benefit from the demographic shift that is under way, and the stock has recently broken higher after a period of consolidation. Your thoughts?
Q: Hi there
I own Onex through the common stock (OCX) and their Onex Credit Partners (OCS.UN) which I have been treating more or less like a debenture/bond issue. I was attracted to the high yield and the backing of Onex on Onex Credit Partners. I am up considerably on the Onex equity over the years, but lately Onex Credit Partners has been falling quite a bit - down to $8.48 from $9.50 in August. I am curious why this might be occurring in a stable interest rate environment and with Onex doing very well.
Love your service.

Q: I'd like to add a Cdn and US tech growth company for a 3-5 year time frame. I own ESL and SYZ. How would you rank OTC, MDA, DSG, CSU, MNW, and ET in terms of potential return? In my US portfolio I own QCOM and GOOG. Other than MU, which you have mentioned before, can you recommend 1-2 other US growth names?
Q: Hello Team,
I am looking for advice in re-balancing my TFSA account currently holding AEI, HBM,RC,FEYE and PRW (1/2 pos). "Aggressive" growth is my objective for this account, I am OK with volatility and have a time frame of 3-5 years. I am looking to add QST, PLI, AVO, KLS and DHX.B, with new money. Can you give me your thoughts on the list in terms of diversification and sector weighting?
If you think I need to replace some names, can you suggest alternatives, preferably low dollar securities (<$ 15) with very good growth potentials.
BTW, does any of these have a chance of making it to your upcoming growth portfolio? Do you suggest that I wait for that?
Thanks as always.

Q: Thanks to 5i for the amazing help you provide to your members.
This question is similar to John's, what do you think of Delta Airline since the low oil prices will impact positively its bottom line. Which do you prefer WJA or DAL ?

Q: Hello Peter and Team, and yes, another query on Energy stocks.
Could you assess the respective growth potential of the following stocks against each other, in the context of a long term hold? They would be: SGY,WCP,BTE,PHX,WRG and HWO In order to keep my Energy weighting in check, I would consider investing in the two best valued,of the five listed. Thanks as always for an invaluable service!

Q: May I have your comments on PWF's latest earnings report? They seem to be doing better with Pargesa or are Pargesa's earning increase all due to one time items? What do you think is better going forward PWF or VIG? I am looking to increase my US exposure but PWF has a better dividend and seems to be generating more growth than before. Part of the attraction with VIG is if the Can $ keeps dropping against the US $.
Q: Hello Team
Please provide your opinion on CET.
I have a bit of idle cash and would consider adding this to my portfolio, more for long term.

Q: Your expert advice on the results of INP,which was released after market closed on Nov 28.You may want to answer after the conference call on Dec 1,10.30am EST.Thanks for your normal excellent advices & services
Q: Peter when u gave the stock an A rating in March 2014, it was trading 10 per cent lower than it is now . Given its low dividend , have I missed the boat on the gain or do it's share value growth prospects still put it high on your list ?Thanks for all you do
Q: Hi 5i: What is your take on INP's results posted Friday? They say they do not expect to complete new streaming contracts during the busy part of the farmers' year which might account for the slower than expected growth. Makes sense I suppose. What do you think?
Q: What are your thoughts on STO : NYSE
Q: I'm interest to add just one REIT to my portfolio and my choice is down to two: AP.UN or CAR.UN.
Dividends growth are nice but I'm more interested in "total return" (dividend + SP growth). In this regard, these two are close in their 5yr. returns, though CAR.UN is 10% better in their 1yr. returns (30% versus 20% approximately).
Which one do you prefer, or there are better ones I should consider instead?
Thanks.
