Q: Since we are having a correction, I need to free up some cash to buy stocks I have been waiting for to pull back. Do you recommend selling a partial position of a winning position or selling a losing position(precious metals of course).The new positions I want will help diversify my portfolio. I am tempted to sell the losing position. Also, could you guys give any recommendations on a course of action with this correction and any possible future outlook of the economy etc..... Or any nuggets of wisdom you wish to throw out there.

Q: Waiting for an entry point on your A rated stocks. Held on to excess cash for this reason. Should I just go with A rated or lower? I know you don't like to time the market but what might be the turning point clue?

Q: Canacol reported its Q4 and FY2014 results on Sep. 23rd. In my opinion the numbers looked good but the stock did not get any lift to it price. Is this reaction more sector and market related or more company specific? What is your take on their results? Thanks, Gerry

Q: Hello team,

You recently recommended PRW,PLI and QST; to add technology stocks to the list, what are your thoughts on WAN, ESP or EXO-U? Do you like those names for a 2 to 3 year time frame?
Also, quickly on US bank Stocks knowing that you do not cover them, I have smalls positions on Keycorp (KEY) and FITB and was thinking of consolidating them into one with better growth potential, which one would you suggest I keep?

Q: Hi,
I am looking at setting up RESPs for both my children (both under 3 years old) and would like to set up the following asset allocation:
Cdn Equity 30% US Equity 30% Int'l Equity 30% and Fixed Income 10%
At 9 years old I would start converting more into fixed income.
No commissions are paid on ETF purchases.
I am comfortable with an aggressive approach.

I have two questions, if I may:
(1) Do you agree with this asset allocation strategy?
(2) Which ETFs (TSX only) would you recommend for each of these categories if you were buying in the next 3 months.

Q: TN.UN True North Apartment. Although not alone TN has been swooning of late. Looking over past Q's I noticed you were waiting for the financials to assess the recent purchase. This looks like a classic 'cookie jar' stock. Great yield! Is the market going to slap my hand for buying it now? Should I wait one more Q?

Q: It's said that a buy time could be on a 10% index correction. Would that apply to individual stocks as well as the index. If so, that may make selected energy stocks a buy now.
