Q: Hello,

What is your opinion of LOY at these prices?

Also, I bought 1/2 position in BIN last week to start. It has since dropped 4%. Do you know why? How long should I wait to buy my other half position?

Thanks,

Carla

Q: Hi Peter & team

I am trying my best to makes heads OR tails out of the ComCast TWX merger, whether it will or will not receive approval from federal regulators, and what each outcome will mean moving forward.

Presently, I am up over 34% not including an OK dividend. And I think I have an idea what to expect if the merger proceeds... as per one article I read "As part of the deal, Time Warner Cable investors will receive 2.875 of Comcast stock for each of their shares." A nice windfall for sure.

Today one analyst reported the merger has only a 60% chance of approval, and another lowered the odds of the deals approval to 70% from 80%. And ComCast is down 1.53% today on the news.

To be honest I don't think I have a choice but to hang in there as an positive decision (expected summer 2015) is far to juicy if approval is received.

My questions... with your resources what are you hearing and what are your thoughts about this merger' chance of going ahead?

And if it doesn't what do you think that will do to the share price for TWX?

And finally, what would you do in my situation?

As always after renewing my subscription for the first time... thanking you for all you do

Gord

Do I really need 2 pizza shops ? ... Would you advise that I drop one ?
If so , which should I keep ?
Or should I keep both ? ... or should I cash out completely ?
Is there a seasonal aspect to Discretionary-Restaurant ? I own A&W as well.

Q: Hi Peter and Team, regarding Pinecrest, PRY, can you please help understand, in as much detail as possible, what their news release today all means to current share holders? Huge volume today so obviously the towel is being thrown in, by whom? Also, any sign's of insider/management buying, or selling in past six months to date? Seems like same same old Board in the new company! Any value in PRY at half of one cent to one cent here? My average cost per share is .22 cents, Ouch it hurts big time! Thanks!

PS: I know, I know...should have dumped this dogger a long time ago but felt the water floods would have helped increase production significantly by now, up slightly though!!! Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter & team

Have learned to take most of the guests comments on Market Call/Tonight with a grain of salt often thinking conflicts and ulterior motives may be in play which, by the way is what makes 5i so valuable to all of us.

Having said that, Colin Stewart who I have grown to appreciate has provided some very accurate commentary in the past had some very positive comments re RPI today.

So I took a look at some of the metrics in play... Debt/Equity ratio 0.59, Price/Cash Flow 9.38, Price/Book 1.92 and Book Value/share is at 6.81.

There doesn't appear to be a ton of debt, the dividend is excellent, and as Colin said, this is a fairly recessionary proof business that generates good cash flow.

I am surprised there are not many questions on this company in the 5i forum... especially looking at it's recent performance - up almost 10% today.

What is you opinion? Why no interest from the membership? And would you consider RPI a sell/hold/or buy at this time?

Thanks for all you do

Gord
