Q: Hi I was wondering if you could recommend some ways to play Palladium on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
As I understand it Russia produces a large amount of the world's Palladium and with the current tensions was looking for a possible way to play this.
Thanks!

Q: Hello Peter.....This is an "add on" about Paul's question/5iR answer about brokerage accounts at two large full-service brokerages and also TD bank. My comment is that when I was considering a similar matter, I decided to separate my banking from my investing institutions. The driver was to keep the banking from reach into my investments to settle any dispute, and the investment arm settling an account by way of the related banking division. The documents for RBC were written up like this, so I decided to go with two separate diversified banking institutions. Thought I would pass this on for 5iR readers to consider...........Tom M
Q: Here's a meta-question: What are the risks involved in relying on the recommandation of 5iResearch and it's portfolio? In a sense, I'm actually asking about your bias and angle to investing. Hope you don't mind my question.
Q: Hello 5i,
My question has to do with two companies that you have mentionned in question and answer. Suncor and IBM. You don't seem very positive towards either company. I suppose we are all under the mystique of someone like Warren Buffet and I have to say that it puzzles me that Mr. Buffet has chosen these two companies in a portfolio that does not have a lot of names. We would appreciate your take on that. Also, would you sell Suncor and buy something like Surge Energy in the current context?
thanks

Q: Hi Peter & team, I must be missing something regarding Chris' question and answer. Bep.un has been transferred from the equity portfolio to the income portfolio. So, as Chris wants his portfolio to be income orientated, why should he sell it? Disclosure; I hold the stock for income already. Thanks. Henry

Q: Hello Peter,
Would you recommend using stop loss orders in some circumstances?
Do you know where a retail investor can get access to what stop loss orders have been entered and at what prices? (Similar to Level II quotes for bid and ask).
Thanks,

Q: Hi Peter. Read question from Paul (April 2) and your answer regarding holdings in one financial institute brokerage account. My question is, maybe a misunderstanding on my part, regarding solvency of banks. I have all my stocks etc at TD Waterhouse well over the $100,000 insured amount. Are all the stock holdings at risk or is it only the cash portion over the $100,000 that would be at risk in the event of a financial solvency at TD. Thank You.
