Q: I bought COS for its yield some time ago at a cost of $38. I've noticed other energy names gaining momentum and with the anti-Oil Sands rhetoric persisting I'm wondering if there are better values (with good yields) to be had. In terms of energy related stock I also hold ERF, PGF & VET.

Q: Hi Peter and team,
Is there any reason for the continual drop of rifco? It seems overdone, but it also seems like there's no end to the selling. The decline looks more than your typical profit taking selling. I don't see any news on the stock and their recent quarters have been solid. Other than the fear of higher interests rates, what else could be causing the drop? I still have a 20% gain in the stock, but would you advise selling to realize some gains before this stock loses anymore value?

Q: Hi Peter;
Which of the canadian banks has the highest basel 3 capital levels currently. Could we assume that the bank with the highest current capital level will be able to offer higher dividend growth going forward versus the banks that must still raise further capital to comply?
Many thanks for your insight.

Q: Hello Peter
I have sold a large 2017 NB Provincial bond yielding 4.45% and need to replace it with an equity that is quite recession resistant, has a rising price and rising dividends and is not in a sector where we already own stocks.
I come up with BCE and Telus [T] as we own no telecoms. Currently BCE has a 5.24% div and Telus 3.80% div. Over the next 10-20 years which will do better for us? Do you have any other possible candidates we should consider.
Thanks Paul

Q: Hi, Boralex (BLX) finally initiated the long awaited dividend. Based on your thesis about companies declaring 1st dividend, is Boralex worth investing at current levels ($13)or we need to wait and see higher revenues and profits/cash flow? Thanks for your valued advice, as always.
Q: is dhx media a good bet at this the?
Q: Peter's BNN appearance: The clip is available at bnn.ca in the Video section. Look for the 10:40am segment of Business Day. You packed so much good information into your short time with Frances. The other thing I noticed is how very bright and smart the set is there.
Q: Hello 5i Team,
Is Tekmira Pharma (TKM) still a BUY? It has gone up quite a bite for the last several trading days, but PE is still low.
Thanks for your great insight.

Q: This is just a comment and I hope you actually post it because I am offended more than once by some language I see every now and then in our Member Questions section.
May I ask the members NOT to refer to Peter and the team at 5i as "gang," for example. Language Matters! Big time! Even when you want to show your casual or friendly attitude. So please address Peter and the rest of the team by names that show your respect for who they are and what they do for you and I everyday. They are "Gentlemen" as far I am concerned.
Thank you for your consideration.
