Q: Hi 5i, today with the Canada EU free trade agreement taking effect there is a 20% export tariff on canadian seafood to the EU coming off. I would think that this should be a very good thing for both clr and hlf and with both stocks fairly beaten up at this time do you think that this is a good time to initiate a position in either one of these stocks or both, what would be your preference and would would be an appropriate weighting disregarding asset allocation ? 3-5%?

thanks Tom

Q: Good Morning 5i,

Yesterday I read an article in the Financial Post that was talking about how the Liberal govt was planning on putting aside 25% of the existing total allowable catch of Arctic surf clams to issue a new license that will be open to expressions of interest from “Indigenous entities” from the four Atlantic provinces and Quebec. I hold shares in CLR and I'm concerned that this could be a potentially massive setback to the companies operation. Especially since they have recently been investing heavily in new ships.

Is this old news and already accounted for in the share price? Or do you think this is the time to sell my shares in the company?

Q: I have 2 questions. I am down 20% on clr and I would like your outlook for the next 6 months to a year. Time to sell or do you see upside? Would you look under the hood of xsi and comment on this etf as fixed income for a 1 to 2 year hold and what the influence of higher interest rates might be on the components? Thanx.

Q: Can you please describe the key differences between these two seafood companies aswell as identify your preference for growth with a bit of income. I am interested in the sector in general and both stocks have pulled back of late.
Do you think either is attractive at these levels? I have very little overall exposure to the food/consumer sector as is.

Thanks!
