Q: Hi Peter
With regard to ATP I own the AZP.PR.A (Atlantic Power Pref) which pays a good dividend. Is this a better choice instead of the Common which is riskier and has little upside dividend growth or is there a catch? Thank-you, JohnS

Q: Hi Peter and 5i: AvenEx (AVF) had a miserable Q2 with AECO gas well under $2. Presumably Q3 will be shown to have been better, with the AECO gas price having averaged at least 10% or so above the $2.00 line. One might expect early Q4 guidance to be more positive, with AECO gas averaging over $3.00 so far in October, WTI hanging in above $90, and the Elbow River facility apparently participating profitably in the rise of train-shipped oil. The stock has had a nice move up from the $3 level within the last week but right in the middle of that they announced they are conducting a strategic review of their oil and gas assets. What would you do at this point if you held the stock? Would you view the asset review as a positive development or might you be concerned that it has been occasioned by negative circumstances that have yet to be announced? Thanks for any thoughts!

Q: Peter:
Already a very happy owner of MIC - Genworth all thanks to you.
What is your current opinion of MIC based on current price of $20.14. Do you still have a buy rating on this stock at $20.00+?
My opinion on U.S. parent selling its' 57% as a distinct advantage to MIC share distribution and price. Do you concur?
TD securities Aug. 2nd MIC report suggested MIC 12 month target of $30.00 even considering the slowing Cdn.housing market decline. Do you concur?
Anxiously awaiting your knowledgeable response. Thanks Peter.

Q: Peter & team, I am curious of your opinion of TCS. I know it is a micro cap but it has had a strong move up in the last year and their #s look fairly good in my opinion and it pays a 2% dividend. Looks like it is garning some attention from some institutional investors. Do you think this could be a possible takeover canidate for a CSU or ESL? Thanks!

Q: Greetings Peter: Firstly, thank you for your great work and the prosperity it ha brought me.
Re: HLP.un - Healthlease. The split of the distribution is of somce conern to me. The Sept. distribution is made up of 25% is dividend; 64% is ROC, and 11% is interest credit.
The very large ROC indicates the EPS is just not happening at the present time. ROC in itself helps to transfer more dollars into the eventual capital gain column, which shaould be beneficial when stock is sold. Interest of course it as the high personal tax rate.
Your comments on future earnings and cash flow would be appreciated. thanks.

Q: I was wondering what your thoughts are on Soda Stream? Cost of the product seems high compared to the bottled waters on the market.
Q: Hi Peter,
I am concerned with my big position in SCS which has been coming down without any reason. I have asked a question about it before and you said that at two times annual cash flow the debt is not a problem. The company is making money and has half year cashfow of 22 cents. It has excellent locations with no country risk. I firmly believe it is excellent value at this point. However, you showed some concern on one of your other comments. Apart from the fact that it is small, what other risks do you see? Why would it go down even further from this point?
Thanks
