Q: Peter- I have been heavily invested in 4 key stocks. The are Byd, Acq,Avo,and Bad. All have done extremely well and I have done exceptionally well because I have been overextended in each. For example in some of my accounts ie TFSA,RRSP,RRIF OR UNREGISTERED accounts have anywhere from 15% to 23% in each of these stocks. I know I should cut back and I will but I also know these stocks will continue to do well. What percentage should I cut back to and should it vary between my wife's RRSPs or my RRIF or our TFSAs or the unregistered account. With your help we have been able to make very material financial changes to our lives. I never thought I would have $850,000 invested in the stock market. Thank you so much for your help.

Q: svy -vs- PD - which and why for medium term growth?
Q: Good morning,
1) I am confused with the reported pay out ratio for BEP.UN. I know you have it in your income portfolio and you have stated cash flow for it is a better indicator. However, when researching various sites MSN has it at 112%; Financial Times at 257% and ycharts at 72.69%. I saw one had it at 545%. Would you mind solving this for me. What does your research say?
2) You recently provided an answer to me regarding "BUYS" in the Capped Utility sector.
What would be your top 4 "Buys' ….. long term, income.
Have a great weekend
Paul

Q: I have held PKI (Parkland) for some years now and am interested in your thoughts on holding the stock for at least another year. Also thoughts you might have on FRU (Freehold Royalties) on holding for another year and ditto for BCE (Bell Canada).
Q: WEF. Western Forest Products is off its highs close to 30% now. The RSI suggests it is oversold.
Would you agree? And would this be a reasonable time to add to my existing position in this stock?
I am still up nicely over the last year and have been looking for an opportunity to add.
On the other hand do you think some of the "steam" is out of the forestry sector?
Thank you.

Q: I have a few stocks on my aggressive watch list that seem to have a lot of momentum. I would like your opinion of them before I consider entering a position. They are BOSS Airboss, MAL Magellan, IT Intertain, VCM Vecina.
Would you know why points PTS has dropped off considerably over the last few days?
I'll be keeping an eye out for your answer.
Thanks again,
Dennis

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Can you give an update on Norsat International, NII.
Can you give an update on Norsat International, NII.
Q: Greetings, Peter & Co.
I appears that my previous question did not reach you so I will resubmit it and add another to it, if I may.
1. I am looking to profit from the aging 'boomers' by investing in a healthcare REIT. One possibility that I have found is Northwest Healthcare (NWH.UN)which has a very decent yield. What is you opinion of this stock? Would you recommend an alternative?
2. I would appreciate you analysis of Spartan Energy (SPE.V). Is it a buy at $4.00?
Thank you for your invaluable service to small retail investors.

Q: Your thoughts on Journey IPO at $12?
Q: Greeting, Peter & Co.
I am looking for a healthcare type REIT which could benefit from the demographic shift coming from the baby boomers. I am considering Northwest Healthcare but I would value your recommendation(s) for this sector of the market.
With appreciation.

Could you please provide comments on the "Advantaged Canadian High Yield Bond Fund - AHY.UN? In particular, do you believe it is better than other bond funds?
Thanks, Darlene

Q: Hi. I have bought the stocks in your model income portfolio. Now I am looking to add a few from the other model portfolio to add some sector diversity and a bit more growth potential. I am thinking of CCL.B, CGX, CSU, SJ, MDA and CCS. Can you suggest any additions/subtractions/substitutions to create a better mix? I won't start using any of this money for 7 to 10 years, but would like to error on the side of caution rather than being too aggressive.
Thanks for your help.
Craig

Q: I've held MO in my USD portfolio since Oct. 2012 as a conservative play: up nicely in last little while for no reason I can tell; ergo, I am thinking of selling? It seems over bought at current price.
