Q: New member here and very much enjoying reading all the information. Encana ECA came out with a report today and indicated they would be cutting dividends and the shares have risen. If the yield falls below 4%, I might consider selling. Is it a buy, hold or sell at the moment?

Q: Hello
I am on the fence for investing in ECA.
The recent news on the impending court case for polluting well water has me wondering if they are too risky.
Looking at their previous highs ECA looks like a great opportunity.
Would you have any recent research or opinion available.
Thanks in advance.
Your Q&A is a great resource.

Q: Hi Gang, Encana is taking a beating today. The news was bad, but I would have thought most of it already priced in. In any regard, the price is off over 25% in the last 4 months. My email alerts have gone off and I'm wondering whether it is a buying opp or is this stock just going to keep heading south?

Q: I purchased ECA two weeks ago and the share price has gone down 5% since my purchase. Now with the Petrochina deal in the works, how do you think it will affect the price (short term and long term)? ECA is 10% of my portfolio and I also hold CNQ and TOU, also each 10%. I am wondering if I should be bailing on ECA or if there is some confidence in this stock? Thank you for your suggestions and advice and Seasons Greetings to you and the Team!

Q: Hi, I had recently purchased ECA, TLM, and ERF but put stop losses 10% below and all were sold recently. So a couple of questions, do you see good potential in any of them going forward, and can you give some advise on using stop losses at all, and if you use them a good strategy of how? Thanks!
