Q: Good Morning Peter, Ryan, and Team,
I was looking over a press release from Pulse Seismic dated January 19, 2015 reporting preliminary unaudited 2014 financial results. The numbers look surprisingly good and the stock price appears to be steadying up. (part of it may be the share buybacks) I would appreciate your opinion of the numbers contained in the press release and the company's long term prospects, if energy prices firm up. Thank you very much. DL
Q: Hi There. I am looking to round out my portfolio by adding some utilites. Do you have any stock recommendations. Looking to invest for 5 years in an investment account.
Q: Since September, AHF has lost over half its value, for no obvious reason other than, perhaps, being connected to insider trading in Amaya. In a previous answer (Jan 12), after weighing the pros and cons, you thought the stock was still 'buyable'; given the price depreciation, mustn't it be even more 'buyable' now?
Q: Peter,I have 17 equity positions in my equity account, each with a similar weighting. The positions include 6 energy and energy related stocks - Boralex, Crescent Point, Emera, Trinidad Drilling, Enerplus, and Suncor. Do you recommend selling any of these ?
Q: I've held CIX for about a year. My thoughts are that it will likely flounder for the next year and I am considering selling in favor of buying DH. My holdings in the financial sector are about 23% with equal weighting in the US & Canada. Do I make this trade or stay with CIX?
Q: Hi Peter and team.
Warren Buffet says to buy steak on sale.
I am thinking of EnCana for a three to five year hold for appreciation.
What do you think of the quality of this steak?

Q: Hello, I am new to your membership and this may have previously been asked. As there are many companies out there I would like to know what your criteria is to pick a stock for performing a review on. Are these ones scrutinized from the general lot for having the most potential?
Q: I'm confused as to why CPD would be dropping now. I thought they would move up with an interest rate cut. Is this a buying opportunity for the fixed interest part of my portfolio or is the market concerned with the safety of preferred shares? Thanks.
Q: I am interested in purchasing some corporate class T series mutual funds Or other similar products which give a ROC . Can u explain advantages and particularly disadvantages of these products in terms of erosion of capital . The goal is to defer income and capital gains to a future date as I don't need it now.
Also can u recommend which company and products are best in the corporate class series. Thank you
I have been waiting for an opportune time to get in on RE and other companies that will eventually have a decent bounce back. What do you think of RE's 2015 plans? Is this a good time? Any other suggestions for this sector?
Can you please comment on the outlook of the US housing market over next 3-5 years. Any concerns? Do you like Stanley Black and Decker and would it be a good way to play the housing market. Or Alternatively, do you have an ETF that would be equally as good. Thank you. Linda
Q: Hello,
What is your current analysis of AHF's ability to sustain it's dividend? Has there been any changes to it's dividend in past few weeks that have been announced?
It's is difficult to find accurate info on payout ratio and debt level for this smaller cap stock. Could you provide from Bloomberg if available please?
It appears there is little downside from current price and some upside (eventually) while being paid to wait - thoughts on idea?
Thanks,
