Q: Peter: WCP just announced a very large acquisition using shares. Is this going the way of CPG 's past growth route? Thanks Rod

Q: Peter and Team,
How do you feel about White Cap Resources? I currently have a 4.5% weighting in Crescent Point Energy and am considering switching half of that position to White Cap. Any thoughts on the comarison between the two? I terms of oil plays, I also have a 2.4% weighting in Arsenal Energy and a 3.3% weighting in Legacy Oil and Gas.
I would guess that you might think that my weigting in Oil stocks is high, however, I live in Calgary and work in the Energy industry so I feel like my familiarity with the sector and individual companies justifies a higher-than-normal exposure.
Candid thoughts would be appreciated!

Q: Good morning, 5i. I was about to buy some Whitecap Resources when it was announced they are one of three players (CNQ and Venturion Oil being the other two) purchasing Barrick Gold's energy assets. Does this look like a good move for Whitecap (and the other two as well), or should I hold off and wait for the dust to settle? Many thanks for your valuable service. John.
Q: Hi There
For an addition to the oil and gas section of my diversified, income with some growth, retirement portfolio would you prefer WCP over SGY or vice versa or perhaps neither? I already hold FRU, ALA, CPG and VET.
Thanks as always.

Q: Hi Peter,
after the tragic accident at Lac-Megantic this past week-end, one analyst on BNN mentioned that it would be best to avoid oil sands names and wait for further developments.
Some would argue for the building of more pipelines such as the Keystone , after this unfortunate tragedy. What is your outlokk on holding such names as SU, CNE and WCP? Many thanks.

Q: Can you explain why WCP is up .33 today to 10.55 when they just had a private placement of 17M shares (which is more than 10% of the 147M outstanding)at 9.90. Should this have not depressed the stock price?
