Q: Hi Si group. Really need some good investment ideas, choices, recommendations as I am creating a new TFSA for our four grandchildren, ages 2 to 9 years. Will invest initially about $1300.00 per child. Would like those investments/equities to have potential growth, reasonably good financials, as they will be long term holds, with some dividends in the future. The sectors is not critical in our evaluation. Thank you for your fine work on previous questions. This is an great service and insigt for the investment public. Keep up the stanard you have started. Many thanks, Jim

Q: Hi Peter!
I'm looking to create a TFSA portfolio with an emphasis on growth. Given the smaller account size I'm looking to create a portfolio of 5 or 6 names. Can you provide some suggestions.
Q: Hi Guys, as you said in your market update this downturn is a sharp correction. Would you be buying at this point or do you expect it to continue for a while yet and if so when do you think it would be wise to start buying, I'm going to start a TFSA investment account. Thanks, Nick
Q: Hello, we have cash funds to put to work in our TFSA. We already own AVO/E/Magna/CSU/AYA. Do you have one or two further recommendations, or would you suggest adding to any of the stocks already held? Thank you, Bill Y.
Q: I am looking for a stock to add to my TFSA realizing that if it goes bust there is no recourse vis-à-vis a tax loss or replacing the capital. I currently hold CUS & CFN and only have $7100.00 sitting in cash right now.
Q: Hi - my TFSA of $32,000 is currently invested as following:
CDH - 50% (recently come alive again; still a believer :-)
Front Street Growth Fund - 7.68% (tough 2 years for Lamarche)
MEI - 25% (good long-term potential - liking it)
CASH - 17% (where to go?)
The goal of my TFSA is aggressive high growth. I like MCR; AVO; BYD.UN and DHX for the cash. Any comments and suggestions to potentially restructure the portfolio and deploy the cash to achieve diversified aggressive growth are appreciated. thx!
Q: Right now I have Rogers and TD Bank for my TFSA. Trying to figure out high safe paying yields of good companies. Any suggestions. Plus where can I see a list of these types of yields. Is there a website with a list of them. Thanks so much for helping me figure out my TFSA challenge.
Q: Peter, regarding TFSA holdings, I am unhappy with the performance and looking for suggestions. This TFSA is maxed out for contributions. Total value is only $34, 932. The holdings are ax.un (26%), zwb (9%), BCE (40% ) and Rei.un (7%). The remainder, almost 18% is cash. The yields on ACB are as follows: artis..9%, zwb... 5.4%, BCE..5.9%, and Riocan is 6.9%.
I would appreciate your suggestions for restructuring this portfolio. I am looking for some solid growth.
Q: My son, a 3rd year PHD student, has approximately $5,000 to open up a TFSA. He is planning to invest the money in 1 or 2 ETFs. Is it a good strategy? Alternatively, please recommend 1 or 2 stocks for his portfolio. Thank you.
Q: Hi Peter and 5iResearch Team,
Is there any tax issue or other negative factor which should be considered with holding US dividend paying stocks in a TFSA. Thank you. Linda
Q: I have been considering Enghouse (ESL) as I can now put some money in my TFSA. However, I noticed Descartes (DSG)and started comparing to ESL. I read your previous comments and they do not indicate any leaning to one or the other. The market caps are similar but ESL has a lower P/E. What is your opinion of these two? Thanks in advance.
