Q: Good morning, 5i. I was about to buy some Whitecap Resources when it was announced they are one of three players (CNQ and Venturion Oil being the other two) purchasing Barrick Gold's energy assets. Does this look like a good move for Whitecap (and the other two as well), or should I hold off and wait for the dust to settle? Many thanks for your valuable service. John.

Q: Re: XEG
Hi Peter:
I bought some XEG for my TFSA at around $ 18 about 18 months ago
I am under water
I think the seasonal trade for energy sector to go up is around the summer, so I am hanging on before selling it to move
to some dividend stocks like BCE, IPL.
When does the normal seasonal trend for the oil and gas stock
normally peaks ? Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Team, by any chance could you provide some insight and thoughts on Precision Drilling, PD, before results are released this Thursday (and after release too please)? Your thoughts on the sector? Your response in May was very helpful and still holding the stock to exit with a possible gain or small loss. Thanks!
Q: Hi Team,
Could you provide an update on Tourmaline Oil (TOU).
It popped recently on some good news about their reserves, but has pulled back even more since then, even though oil prices keep going up.
Your views would be appreciated.

Any other information you can provide would be helpful. With oil at $108 now, differential narrowing nicely and their production looking not bad, where do you see CLL in the next 12 months? Thanks!

Q: For excellent service, thank you more than you can imagine!
AOI and PPY: African Oil and Painted Pony. Do you still like them here, and do you prefer one over the other, or a half position in each? I realize there is sector risk, as well as political and drilling risk.

Q: Peter and Team,
Any thoughts on Arsenal Energy AEI following the well results they released yesterday? Extrapolating the declines on the wells still seems to leave them a decent bump in production (relatively).
Thanks.
