Q: Team,

E or MCR, which falling knife do you prefer standing behind? I own small positions in both as part of a basket of small caps, but they are both back under my 1% threshold where I either have to add to the position, or cut it loose. I'm thinking of selling one, and topping up on the other. thoughts?

I am getting very tempted to buy some stocks that have sold off(pembina, td bank etc...). I keep telling myself to be patient and wait for some evidence of buying however, there seems to be some good opportunities to at least start a position or add to an existing one.

I am normally against averaging down, but I have noted that it can work well with GOOD QUALITY companies in case the correction still has legs. Anyways, could you and the team recommend how you handle the correction and give 2 names from each sector that look attractive for a long term investor.

Q: I was considering investing in Cogeco for the telecom side, what is opinion on that? I already have some Telus which are not doing great but not too badly thanks to dividents. But cogeco I was thinking of as a growth stock also Cogeco has CGO or CCA does it matter which one? I was thinking of CGO because I understand they are thinking of entering the wireless sector.

Q: Hi, Superior Plus just announced completion of their strategic review and decided not to sell the construction products distribution business. Would it impact company's ability to pay down debt and increase dividend? Does it change your view on the co.? Thanks

Q: AVO was awarded a patent for high definition Oct. 2. About the same time it started to rapidly decline. Would this have anything to do with it? Also, could you please rate these 3, 1 being the best. CXR (Concordia), GUD (Knights) and DND (Clipper). Thanks Dennis

Q: a bit more about WEQ please.
The bought deal at $8 by brokers means that the brokers got a discount on this.Is there a way to know what the discount was?
Does this also means that WEQ got this discounted price in extra capital per share,so the $8 means nothing?
Also how long will this share dumping last by the brokers in this deal?it might take a long time for this huge amount.
All sounds the small investor is getting stung again.

HCG, AYA, MG, KEY, ALA and CNR all have pulled back quite significantly. Is this a good entry point to start a new position? Should I be concerned with housing market, rising interest rates that will potentially hurt these stocks? Which one do you prefer the most from these 5 names? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Q: Can you comment on the current news for IMAX? They have a new deal with Netflix and it seems to be pissing off the theatres AND the studios (which are they existing partners). What do you think of this deal and is this a negative or a positive?
