Q: Hi Peter and 5i,
For someone starting out in an RRSP with $13K to start and then monthly contributions.
I'm looking at one of the following:
1. XAW ($10K) and XIC ($3k)
2. VEQT
3. Other suggestions from 5i.
4. Once it reaches >$50k then start adding individual stocks.
Thank you for your answer and other possible suggestions.

5i Research Answer:
We think option one is interesting, here. Both are solid ETFs and the 'world' will be nicely represented with the combo. XAW is still 62% US-based. VIU is ex North America, but owning it would mean no US exposure. So we are fine with XAW as we continue to see the US as attractive, for the long term. If an investor is conservative and does not want all equity exposure, VBAL could be suggested.
