Q: What after your top growth picks for base metals? Copper? Uranium? Do these have legs and will they follow the rally that silver and gold are on? How would you rank the commodities? Thanks! Only holding AEM and PHYS currently.
5i Research Answer:
For base metals we like: CS, LUN, FCX, HBM. Uranium: CCO, NXE, DML. Some of the infuence are the same as gold and silver: lower rates, currency debasement etc. However, base metals do have an ecomomic sensistivity component. Copper has run with AI and could see some more sustained moves. Uranium is also benefiting from the increased global need for power. Commodities we would rank: Uranium, rare earths, fertilzer, copper, aluminum, zinc, nickel. PICK we think is an interesting ETF for the sector (ex gold and silver).
