  5. BCE: I want to raise a bit of cash for a balloon payment on my mortgage. [BCE Inc.]

Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: I want to raise a bit of cash for a balloon payment on my mortgage. I can sell BCE at a loss, which would offset good gains earlier this year. Alternately I could sell NTR for a slight profit. I also own a bit of Telus (also at a slight loss) but no other Ag stocks.

Which would you be inclined to sell?

5i Research Answer:
We would see BCE as the one to sell and also crystallize a tax loss.
