Q: Could you please provide an update on Teck. Copper is at a very high price while this company seems to be struggling. If the outlook is questionable do you have another recommendation in the sector?

5i Research Answer:

We still like TECK.B in general for copper/metal exposure, but it has disappointed. It missed earnings today, though it did extend the life of its copper mine. The balance sheet is strong and we might see it make some deals over the next couple of years. For a cyclical it is not cheap at 25X earnings. LUN currently looks better overall, with a cheaper valuation and much better momentum.
