While HOOD has had a strong run recently, we would be quite comfortable diversifying into HOOD as part of a long-term strategy. Both HOOD and COIN have similarities, and are competing with each other at certain levels, but COIN has a stronger foothold in the institutional side of things, securing and custodying assets for institutions, while HOOD is actively delivering new products and services to retail investors across all aspects of the financial services industry.
While we cannot personalize responses, depending on the crypto exposure, an investors' personal risk tolerance levels and ability to take risks, we would be comfortable with a total exposure of 5% +/-. These are companies that have exposure to other industries (AI data centers, the broader financial markets, etc.), and so in a sense it is also diversified away from pure crypto.
Authors of this answer, directors, partners and/or officers of 5i Research and/or affiliated companies have a financial or other interest in COIN, HOOD.
