5i Research Answer:
BEPC and BEP.UN are essentially the same entity. BEPC was created and spun out by BEP.UN so Canadian investors get the dividend tax credit and so that pension and other funds could buy shares (some are not allowed to buy limited partnerships which is the structure of BEP.UN). For a non-reg account BEPC is probably better but it does depend on one's tax rate and how beneficial the dividend tax credit is to an investor. We are very comfortable with either, and each should do better as interest rates peak.
