Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Hi,

Is there a price point at which this becomes a value investment that has all of the negative factors priced in? It has been a top pick numerous times on BNN but repeated bad news has driven it down and down. Might it stabilize after tax loss selling eases? Dividend now at 3.1% is tempting. My question is whether there is a price that you would consider this a buy or if the bad news outweighs potential value and nice dividend?

Q: I bought AGT in order to diversify into the Agricultural space (this is the only investment I have in the Agri sector.) Since I bought the shares AGT kept loosing its value. What is your recommendation? "Sell", "Hold" or Buy more. My inclination was to sell due to its high debt, however when Prem Watsa invested in the company I thought there was some value to be gained. What are your thoughts?

Q: Hi Team ,
I am thinking about taking half-positions in AGT and DHX.B two companies that I have been following for a while.
AGT and DHX.B seems both interesting considering their long term potential in their respective market especially following their respective recent steep price drops that make them more attractive. I would like to have your opinion on these Companies.

I also want to add ET in my RRSP. Evertz is a bit intriguing, It seems to me that the market valuation is on the low side (Am I right?). The company seems to offer a good potential but the share price seems to be going nowhere since a while, any idea why.

What is your opinion on taking a position in ET at the current price level?

Thank you!

Q: Greetings, Peter & Co.
I currently hold AGT at a profit. I would like to replace it with another agriculture stock, small cap or mid cap, that has some growth and some dividend. Failing this, I would consider a moderate sized tech company that meets these criteria.
With appreciation,
Ed

Q: Good morning.

Your 15% prediction on AGT seems to be holding as accurate.

My question is what should a holder of the stock do with this drop? I own in an RRSP and thus have no tax advantage to sell but if a rebound is unlikely I will suck it up and move on.

Would you
1. Sell
2. Hold
3. Average down

Please explain the fundamental reasons for your recommendation along with best course of action

Thank you in advance
