Q: re: CGX

my question July 9 asked about the effects NetFlix/HBO types of products might be having on the box office. you mentioned that shouldn't be a concern but, you also mentioned "the box office this year is not as strong as expected..." and you didn't have any concerns on CGX right now in general.

Today CGX is down to it's lowest value since Sept 2013. I have to wonder if my money might not be better put to work in another company. I have this feeling if I sit on this long term I could very well continue to see a slow decline in value.

What are your thoughts after reading my comments?

Thanks for all you do for all of us

Q: Cineplex CGX

Hello 5i Family

With recent comments regarding theater goer's #'s being down 20% compared to last summer - NetFlix plus other cable shows - we've seen a 4% hit for CGX since closing last week.

stock has been fairly stagnant for most of the year and is down 9% overall since the beginning of the year.

I have a 4% position. Would you consider this high? Should I take some cash out and redeploy it elsewhere? If so, where? And would you consider CGX a Buy, Hold or Sell right now considering these recent announcements?

Thanks for all you do for all of us

Q: CGX
I hold Cineplex in my RRSP. I don't quite understand why the stock is down so much based on its recent quarterly report. Report doesn't look bad to me but perhaps I'm missing something. I like the yield on this stock and don't mind holding it for the long term but don't want to get caught in a long term yield trap. Should I be concerned with its lagtest quarterly report?

Q: I notice that the US theatre operators are seeing slower growth in ticket sales and are starting to discount same, albeit in only one state. "American movie-theater owners have been super hardcore about one thing, it’s ticket prices. No matter what the Europeans and Canadians do, no matter how many startups try to hack into ticket pricing, exhibitors for years have refused to budge.

Until now.

The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) announced Tuesday that it’s launching an off-night ticket-discount experiment sometime this year. But rather than dive in, they’re carefully dipping a toe: Only one state, which hasn't yet been revealed, will host the program, and it will run only for a limited time."

I know CGX has 70% market share but do you think it is fully valued here?

Q: My apologies for asking another question but I am stumpet re holding a small amount of the Cineplex recent convtible. I asked for a larger amount and only received a really small amount of bond. Would it not be wiser just to sell it? The conversion seems so unappealing and although 4% I may as well buy the common or similar? Your good opinion please.
