got online today and have seen a 15% increase. The only thing I can see in the news is TWX CEO Bewkes officially rejecting the offer from 21st Century Fox.

Is there any other news you have that accounts for such a significant jump?

Q: Western Forest Products, WEF. Whatdo you think of this Co. It has instituted dividend. Looks to be doing very well. I heard that there is a slow market period currently. I had 1000 shares, which I sold as the stock moved up in price. I want to buy, but looking for a bottom. Is this the bottom, or will it fall further. Any idea about the seasonality.I value your opinion a lot. Thanks.

Q: Any thoughts about MOB.UN-X?

Q: We are retired with no company pension and depend heavily on dividends to augment our income. Our investments are Banks-22%, Industry-15%, Oil-20%, Pipelines-12% Utilities-15%, Telcom and Reits-9.5%, Cash-6.5%. I'm interested in adding another utility for stability and income. We now have positions in BEP.UN, EMA, NPI, VSN. Should we simply add to these, or add one of FTS, CPX, INE, CU, or do you have another suggestion?

Q: BIP.UN/TFSA

Hello,
We hold BIP.UN in a (joint) non-registered account and currently have no contribution room in our TFSA's. Come January I would like to transfer BIP.UN "in kind" into one or both of our TFSA's (the value will likely exceed the limit for any one account). From reading previous posts, I understand this can be done with certain caveats or conditions. I could not find any details on the Service Canada TFSA webpage. Would you be able to elaborate on how and "in-kind" transfer is done and what conditions need to be satisfied? Should it make any difference, we use RBC Action Direct - with whom I have not yet spoken about this issue.
If there is a "standard" procedure or set of guidelines to this process, perhaps a post or blog or something would benefit others who may not be familiar with such a process - I know I am completely unfamiliar with it....

Q: I have three questions:
Tricon (tcn)doesn't seem to excite investors these days despite being a regular top pick on BNN. Do you think it's flatlining after a good run and what do you see three years from now?
What do you think of Spartan Energy (spe) at the $3.85 level for a three year investment?
Finally, you selected Interpipeline (ipl) as your last pick from a group of four when replying to another question today. I had held this stock since March of 2009 and it seems to be growing steadily and raising it's dividends. May I ask why it ranks behind Enbridge (enb), Altagas (ala) and Pembina (ppl)?

I am a small business owner and the incorporation has access to a little bit of cash (100k). I have been selecting stock for a portfolio but I am wary of pulling the trigger because of talk of the infamous correction. Would you suggest to wait for a market pullback to start buying the positions or go ahead in this highly valuated market? I am in no hurry and comfortable waiting up to 6 months with cash on hand.

Here is the stock in the portefolio:

US: MCD, GOOG, WFC, XOM, BRK, Qualcom, Deere, WMT, Air Lease, Cognizant

CA: THI, BCE, T, BEP.Un, Superior plus, Power Corp, Linamar, Surge, Sylogist, DHX Media

Q: Hi,

As part of my overall portfolio, I've had a strong weighting in oil and gas for about 9 months. My holdings include CNQ, POU, TOU, CPB, BTE, PEY and VTE. Oil and Gas stocks have been getting hammered recently, albeit after a strong run up. Is it time to add more to these existing names or will the correction continue during this slow period for the market?

Are you comfortable with all these holdings or should I sell some to replace with other names?

("InnVest") (TSX:INN.UN) announced today that it intends to increase the purchase price under its existing offer to purchase up to $28,750,000 of the outstanding principal amount of its Series G Convertible Unsecured Subordinated Debentures (the "Debentures") from $1,060 to $1,080 (the "Increased Offer Price") for each $1,000 in principal amount (the "Offer"), and proposes to amend the conversion price for each InnVest unit to be issued upon the conversion of one Series G Debenture under the trust indenture governing the Debentures to $7.50 rather than the $8.00 originally proposed (the "Indenture Amendments").
