Q: We have to sell one of these to pay his tuition
Which would you sell
Because he is overweight BNS , I thought we should sell 1/3 for a loss ... but perhaps that isn't a good strategy .
BNS (big loss) , OTC (loss) , XSP (loss) , GWO (gain) , L (big gain ) , ATD.B ( huge gain ),
Are RESP losses non claimable ???

Which would you consider "safer" for income over 5+ years : A Canadian Bank [likely CM] or the new Ag Growth Int's Convertible Debenture. Yields about the same, but how do company debts compare?

Q: Can you please take a close look at this company and provide your thoughts on the Balance sheet, recent outside stake taken and management overall. I have followed this company for a while and watched it ink nice deals in the N.Gas space. The data from the newer wells also looks good. To me it looks like it is changing into a utility going forward with locked in N.Gas prices and contracts being extended in duration. One side note: I heard a analyst comment on the credibility of management and companies promoting it. Your thoughts and analysis would be greatly appreciated.

Q: Middlefield launched this new IPO four weeks ago at $10 a share with a decent yield. The stock has already gone up over 11% in capital value. I would appreciate any insights you can provide on holding this fund in an income oriented portfolio. Thanks!

Q: Sometime ago I purchased ZUH-T to gain exposure to Health Care...and it is a hedge EFT. I would like to replace this position with an unhedged ETF or a Cdn/US dollar position. Other positions added since then in this sector are IBB (1.5 position weight), GILD and SKY (both 1 position weight), and GUD, PHM and PLI (0.5 position weights). Looking forward to your suggestions....Tom
