Q: Hi Peter and team

My question concerns BIP.UN which I currently hold with a nice unrealized capital gain. Just yesterday, John Mauldin published a rather bearish analysis of Australia where BIP holds substantial infrastructure holdings. Do you have any thoughts on the vulnerability of BIP to a substantial commodity slowdown caused by hard or less hard landing in China.

Thanks

Ross

Q: Hi Peter
I have held Canwel Building Materials (CWX) for some time now (ACB of $4.48) and have been disapointed with their recovery. Is it time to move on now before the tax selling sets in?

Q: Hi Peter,I'm asking your views on Mcan Mortgage(MKP).This little company never gets any media coverage-I hold it in my RRSP because the dividend is fully taxable. It,s been fairly good to me but wonder if I,m missing something. thank you.

Q: Hi Peter,

Its been a good last three months for me with 3 out of 5 takeovers going through (ELC, MT and ICI). My question today is about the rumours surrounding the company OCZ which is in the SSD market. Lots of companies are trying to tap into the SSD markets and recently STX said that they are planning to buy one. As you said in the past "where there is smoke there is fire" and I have this feeling that it is just a matter of time. What do you think?

Q: I've started researching Hemisphere GPS (HEM), and in addition to asking about your thoughts generally on the company, would like to ask a related, education-type question (I'm a beginning/learning investor).

Their public information states that a) 50% of shares are "institutionally held", and b) 12% are "employee/director held"

Of what, if any, significance are either of these facts?

Thanks. Lotar.

Q: what do you think of purchasing Enbridge in the low $39s? Would you rather wait and see what other opportunities september may bring or would try and take advantage of ENB's recent weakness?

Lastly, if ENB is a buy, today, would you advise going a full position right off the bat, or would you take a partial position and add on weakness or as material news dictates? Thanks again and thanks for the two new reports today.

Q: I have bought about $6-7K in each of the 30 stocks you've recommended as B- to A+ and am very pleased thus far with how they have done in such a short time. I also have a more mature portfolio about 40 other equities that I had before subscribing, some go back many years. In all I have about $1M in the market. I plan to inject another $500K into the market this year and am wondering what the danger is of increasing the number of equities I have; for example buying new recommendations from 5i that are -B to +A. Would you recommend that I lessen the number of different stocks I am in.? and why?
