Q: Good morning,
I own Sherritt in the speculative part of my portfolio, and have been aware of most of the news lately. (activist investor in Halifax, coal sale, dividend cut, etc) Can you provide any insight into the share prices moves of yesterday and today? I don't see any new news. Your general insight / outlook for S would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Q: Good day Peter....Read that you're posting the RRSP model portfolio at the end of March. And I'm "chopping on the bite" to see it.....because I have funds to invest. With that background, I wondering what the general gist, or over arching principle will be? (For example, the non-registered portfolio has at it's core non-trading risk profile and stability.) Any chance of getting a glimpse of the positions that likely will make it to the RRSP model portfolio?....Tom M, aka curious guy.

Q: Essential Energy Services, ESN reported yesterday. Earnings per share missed estimates by 1 penny for the year. I hold this stock for the 4.5% dividend yield and expected 5 to 10% capital appreciation over the next two to three years. The balance sheet appears to be very strong and I assess the downside risk over the two to three years to be minimal. I would appreciate your assessment of my reasoning. Thanks for your help.

Q: I would like to know your assessment of the Coxe Global Agribusiness Income Fund. I am also puzzled about the statement that it is a "non redeemable"investment fund. What does that mean? The yield seems quite good. Should a senior be investing there? Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter & Team... re US Auto Industry - GM & F

Back in late Jan I inquired about GM & F and you mentioned 5I was not at this time earnestly following US Equities per say BUT, that you would be doing more so in the coming months.

Spring is just around the corner, the fleet is very aged, incentives are in place, emerging markets are showing some positive signs (especially for GM), there appears to be some confidence in the economy and both F & GM (again especially GM) are very cheap right now. A recent article I read suggested GM could see $45-$47 by years end with continued growth expected in 2015 plus GM is up 6% since early Feb. Is there any way you could take a moment and give us any thoughts you may have on this sector?

Appreciate all you do... gm

Q: My specific question is on CXR: Concordia Health. It is down 16% over last 5 days and I can find no reason for it. I have searched my best sources--CNW, the TSX site, Google Finance and Globe and Mail and cannot find anything---is there a problem?

My general question is on length of time or % down something goes before I take action if I can find no reason for the change in valuation. I have at times used 10% as I thought that should elminate most market action. Is there a number you would recommend?

Am i wrong?
