Q: I own the Vicwest convertible debenture. The conversion price will no longer be of any consequence after the takeover. Do you know what will happen to it once the takeover of Vicwest is complete?

Q: Hi Team
Can I get your opinion on Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc ENF-T versus Brookfield BEP.UN-T for a non-registered account with both objectives of longterm growth and safe yield. (for long term hold.)
they seem to have similar yields yet different P/E ; P/book ratios and payout ratios ?
please tell me if
1. are they in similar sectors (? utility)
2. are they subject to similar or different economic pressures.
3. are yields more secure one or the other
4. is growth better on or the other.
5. is the yield on one more tax advantageous versus the other
6. subjective , but is one "bluer" chip than the other
thanks
Ernie

Q: Please suggest 3 low beta blue chip CDN stocks for RRSP Investing and 3 of similar quality for my TFSA . Thanks. Richard
Q: It appears hrx blew the quarter right out of the ball park. I know you should not fall in love with your stocks but I find management does everything right here and that we are in a bull market for military and commercial aircraft replacements. Agree? I am thinking of making hrx a 5 percent weighing even though there is no dividend.
Q: Hi, one of my friends was asking what I thought of the Allegro Moderate Portfolio A mutual fund. First, the performance is rather mediocre. Second, the MER (2.54%) is fairly high, but non uncommon in the fund industry, for a balanced fund. It is a fund of funds, which are all Investors Group products. Not that all their funds are not worth owning, but this product seems obviously designed to be most beneficial to that company. I was not impressed with this feature. I also noticed that many of the funds included in this product are of the "A" class (based on GlobeInvestor). Does this means that there are also MERs of 2%+ that also apply. If so, it is outrageous. I told her she need to find out from her advisor, but I was wondering whether my read of this last feature is correct.
Q: Your opinion Please?
Q: Just observation.Over the last 2 quarters, noticed 2 stocks,SJ & CGX(both in the Model Portfolio) appreciated after missing Revenue &/or EPS estimates. Both reached 52 week high,SJ on Nov 14,& CGX on Nov 13. On 8/20,V Hirsh on Market Call stated that she loves SJ which has great management.Last Q was a little weaker as the cost of treated wood rose.Next Q also might not be fantastic. But growth for the next 2 years is fantastic. Also grow by tuck in acquistion. CGX's Ceo,Jacob appeared on BNN immediately after earnings release & went through the details-beat all metrics except for the poor 2014 summer movie slate, but expect 2015's to be better. Thanks
Q: I recently saw a list of Div Stocks with Discounts via a DRIP. How do I avail of the Discounts? e.g. BTE with a Div of 6.4% + a 3% Disc.
Thanks, Austin

Q: Hello Peter & Team,
Have you come across these foreign companies in the tech sector and, if so, is there any opinion you could offer on their current financials and future prospects as they are expanding globally, although they are still relatively small. Any information you have would be relevant and a good starting point for further investigation, or not, depending on your answer!.
Thank you.

Q: Hello Peter & Team,
Could you give provide a "mini-report" covering the reasons for inclusion of Valener within your income portfolio. Obviously its yield is one factor but your views on management, its position within the industry etc would be appreciated. Apologies if this has been provided previously, I may have missed it.
The service you provide is undeniably the best I've come across. Thanks.

Q: Hi- your analysis of the latest please. It looks like loan losses are becoming more of a problem and eps is suffering. Time to cut and run?
Q: Peter; In todays Globe , pge.B10, there is a article by Tim Shufelt on active management VS ETF showing why ETF's still are the best route. Rod
Q: I have been watching both copper and Brent for an entry into both FM and BDI (high correlation to Brent and WTC). Both stocks are up today and particularly FM. But can any stock in either segment do very well as long as the underlying resource continues to tank? There is no signs of recovery in either that I can see.
Q: I've started to follow this stock recently after I read about it on BNN. What are your thoughts on the management, product offerings and future.
Thx
Jim

Q: I'm looking at investing in a high potential growth stock in pharmaceuticals with a 5 year time horizon. I have narrowed it to three, GUD, Merus (MLS) or Cipher (DND). How would you rank these three as choices one to three. Any others to consider?
Thanks

Q: Good afternoon,
I own SGY and FRU. Each of them are about 5% of my portfolio. Between those two, which one has the safest Dividend?
Thank you

Q: Would you buy CF today if you have a 2 year horizon?
Q: Hi, I wonder if you could explain the outperformance of adw.b vs adw.a. I have owned the a shares for a couple of years and while not disappointed I am wondering what it would take to get this somewhat "constipated" stock moving. Thank you very much.
