Q: Hi Guys,
I sold WTE a few years ago and have regretted it ever since and have not been able to buy back for lower than I sold. It seems to hold it's value very well and I'm wondering why it hasn't shown weakness since coal Seems to be out of favour right now. Do you think it's a good hold for income?
Thanks

Q: Hello, I am curious what you think the effect of the US raising rates will have on the market in general. I am assuming global money will flow into the US and send it higher. But what effect does it have on emerging markets. Will some of that money be heading to the US as well?
A little birdie has told me that a-lot of emerging market debt is priced in US as well. The above scenario would put a-lot of pressure on these countries. Is it a safer bet to sell my position in XMM and redeploy somewhere else?
Thank-you for the great service.

Q: Dear 5i Team - Please give us your opinion on coal. Has its time come to an end for power generation and will it just be used primarily for the processes of mfg steel?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: These are my oil investments, all purchases have been in the past six months. Am down 15% on freehold. I feel pretty secure with the positions, and i am quite content to be an owner for a good while. How do you see it.
Q: Hello Peter, can you provide some information on this company. Is it a good buy going forward? Thank you, Jen
Q: This is a tiny company but appears to be capturing market share in an established business( cash management etc) via new technology 80% of revenue is recurring. As typical of software company large gross margins ( 73%). I think they make as much as 3 cents a share profit this year, no debt and as almost all their business is in the US the appreciating US dollar really helps them. Assuming a 20% growth rate over next few years how does one evaluate this company?

Q: The stock has been going in one direction since Feb and I am now down over 30%. With silver being down only 10% since SLW peak in Feb I can attribute stock decline to tax related issues only...? Should I just cut my losses and sell? Do you see any upside potential in short-mid term (1-2 years)?
Q: Hi Peter and Staff
I hold a small position in MIC and have felt stock would go up when rates they charged went up. I have stayed away from fund managers fearing fee disclosure would affect them. Having said all this I assum from comments in the past and today's report on FSZ that you would endorse a switch from MICto FSZ? Am I correct ?
Thanks for all you do

Q: I have a stock in my RRSP which has risen from $50 to $100. I have been advised to sell this stock ( pay approximately 20% tax), re- buy this same stock ( at the current $100 price) but place it in a TFSA. Does this make financial sense?
Q: I hold XTC -- it seems to be hitting on all cylinders and has been particularly strong recently. Could a takeover be in the works? Technically it looks like it has formed a rounded bottom (late April period to now) and if that resolves to the upside, we might be looking at 19-20 bucks in short order. Thoughts?
Q: Can Dollarama DOL do enough to counter the effects of the weakening Canadian dollar and keep their expansion plans and everything else on the upswing? Or do you foresee serious problems?
Q: Your last comment on Paramount was in April where you mentioned that "POU with its debt will likely have good leverage in a rising sector" . Do you still think this would apply? The stock continues to drop and I would appreciate your assessment of their current position in the sector. Thank you.
Q: I am under in this company and I have a full position (overweight at market value) in my RRSP account. I really like the company and I do not need to access the funds anytime soon but I have always had a problem with deciding to sell at a loss with a good company. Many things of course can change a market quickly and therefor My question is "Could the money be better used in a different sector or would I be moving funds for no reason?" Perhaps average down but I really do not want to point the money hose at this. My gut tells me to wait it out. Perhaps it is a question without an answer but I appreciate your time spent answering it.
Thank you
Jeremy

Q: Thanks for your report on AFN. I've been watching this stock for the past couple of weeks, and thinking of selling my ACQ to buy AFN, one of the reasons is the higher dividend, and the other is that I am down 20% on ACQ and thought AFN might have better short-term growth prospects. Both companies are coming out with earnings soon. What do you expect for earnings for both of these companies, and do you think this would be a reasonable switch. Thanks very much.
Q: Hi Peter and Team:
BIN has been side ways since the beginning of the year despite the benefits of the low fuel prices and high US dollar in its US operation. Is there any catalyst in the near term in the works for this company?
thanks.

Q: Hello Peter and 5iResearch Team, Can you please provide your analysis of IMAX vs Cineplex in terms of relative strength, and industry growth prospect. Can you please tell me which one you would purchase for a long-term 3-5 yr. hold. I can place IMAX in a RRSP and CGX in my TFSA. Would like to buy only one. Thank you. Linda

Q: Hi 5i. In your opinion please: "When is the correct time to use a margin account (or any sort of leverage) for the average knowledgeable investor?" Also to what extent in the form of ratio to assets and/or income. I know this is dependent on individuals but your knowledge and experience are highly valued by me.
Thank you
