Q: Hello Peter & Team,

My question is re: Valeant (VRX). They announced a merger of equals as wells as a number of smaller mergers to help increase their market capitalization and become one of the top 5 drug manufacturers. Do you have any idea which companies may be on their radar? Is valeant still looking to squire Actavis (ACT) or has that deal fallen through?

Wishing all of you joy, peace and health in the new year.

I am considering adding Constellation (CSU) and VRX to my portfolio. Is it too late to add any of these or should I wait for a dip? What about the debt levels for CSU and VRX? Would you be worried?
I have small positions in HCG, MG and CCT. Some people are suggesting to sell all of these: CCT, MG and HCG? What do you think? Is there more upside in these stocks?

Q: Hello Peter and team,

After reading Lowell Murray's "The Single Best Investment - Creating Wealth with Dividend Growth", my wife prefers dividend payers in her RRSP, but would like to emulate the model portfolio as much as possible.

As an example, if she is uncomfortable with TOU, what would be a suitable dividend paying O/G substitute? WCP or VET or ? What about substitutes for the other non-dividend payers in the portfolio?

Q: Tekmira TKM shares dropped over 8% on Thursday, down over 15% in the last week. Is it because of the recent share issuance? Or am I missing something? Do you think this may be a buying opportunity, or should I wait until after TKM announces earnings on Wednesday.
I currently have half a position in both TKM and VRX (also down) and would like to add to both in the near future. I would appreciate your advice.

Q: Hi Peter and 5i: Question on Paladin Labs (PLB) but also interested in implications for Valeant and others. I heard some commentary on the free trade agreement with Europe that suggested there would be some resulting loss of patent protection for brand name drugs. Any thoughts on the implications of this for PLB and other Canadian pharma stocks? Thanks!

Q: Hello all:
The Canadian portion of my portfolio holds 18 stocks. Of those 18 stocks I hold BCE, RCI.B and T. I am thinking of selling one of those and buying VRX to increase my diversification. My question is, 1. is this a good idea, 2. which telecom should I sell, and 3. Is VRX a good choice, is it too late to get in now. Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter and team: I assume you would let us know if you thought it prudent to sell Valeant around these levels. I think the rise is so good that I wonder if it will be somewhat less on an upward
track now Am I thinking like a day trader, not an investor? I always want to thank you for your
guidance and incredibly understandable answers. I know you do not like companies with debt, and I think they now have DEBT!
