Q: If one was to initiate a position in ATHN <Athena> would this be an opportune time or has the picture changed? I see Q1 EPS being reported lighter than consensus, and the stock sitting on the 200 day MA hasn't had the recent bounce the sector has. Thanks, J.

Q: Hi Peter: I'm up an average of 20% on two US banks C and BAC. They seem to have flattened out the last while. Should I take the profit and run to something that has better upside potential or stay the course. My time horizon is 2 years max, I have plenty of Canadian banks.

Q: 3D Systems DDD

In doing some research I have come to realize 3D Systems has real products they are selling to real customers. And they have just announced acquiring Robtec, the "largest additive manufacturing service bureau and 3D/Printer Scanner distributor in Latin America."

I am sure we all agree 3D printing will one day be a reality for everyone as the cost comes down while sales go up - i.e. PC's, VCR/PVR's, Cell Ph's etc...

The argument has been no one is certain who will surface in the end as a real player in the sector and who will fall by the wayside and become a no body.

As of today, DDD is down 49% on the year but over the past 2 days has seen a 4% rebound. Do you think DDD is at the bottom? Would you suggest a buy or not quite yet?

Q: re: TWX Time Warner

Upcoming movie slate looks good, March Madness had record viewership, expansion is happening in China and the cable side of things seems to be doing ok yet, it is down almost 7% on the year. Netflix is also only showing 1% gain on the year as of today.

Do you still attribute this to profit taking for TWX, the cold over the winter, or is there something we should know about?

Q: Hello Peter and team,

I have put half of my ,money (taxable account) in the model portfolio and I would like to deploy the rest outside of Canada.
I was looking the the following : Microsoft (MSFT), Wells Fargo (WFC), Home Depot (HD), Time Warner (TWX), Anheuser Busch Inbev (BUD, Adidas (ADDYY), Qualcomm (QCOM), Consumer Staples Select Sect (SPDR). Last on it's an ETF. What do you think? Any other suggestions.
