Q: SSW on NYSE: would you buy this stock at current prices. It is up a fair bit over the last few years already. Decent dividend with low payout-shipping-improves as US and global economy gets going?
Q: HI 5i Team:
Just became introduced to this fascinating company SSYS-Q. Would you see purchasing stock in this company as investing or gambling. Never miss a day reading Q&A section.
thanks. Lorraine

Q: Good afternoon,
I realize that you do not formally cover US stocks, but I wonder whether you had any view upon the comparative merits of United Technologies (UTX) and Lockheed (LMT)?
Thank you for your assistance.

Q: My question is on Starbucks. I never really hear anything good to say about SBUX. I purchased 150 shares at $36.53 back in April 2011. I have a nice profit and I know it trades at a high multiple and is expensive. I am kind of hanging on in the hopes of a 2:1 split. What are the chances it will split and do you think it has room to go higher. If they get a miss on earnings how far do you think they will fall?
Q: Hello, I am interested in buying shares in US companies and am considering Boeing (BA) and Diageo PLC (DEO). I would really appreciate your views as to which would likely be the safer, better investment for growth as yields are comparable right now. Thank you.
Q: EEP-N: Largest liquid oil pipeline in the US in which Enbridge is a stakeholder. It has a fairly large yield of over 7% and dividends have been slowly increasing over years. Although this co. is not high growth, would this be a good holding in a RRSP. Do you see any valuation risk or stagnant/lowered divided in the next 5 years?
Q: For the fixed income portion of my US holdings would stocks like MTGE, AGNC, NLY, HTS and CMO be appropriate. They all have high yields. Or does the downside risk on their share prices when interest rates increase make this an unwise investment plan?
If so, what would make more sense?
Thank you.

Q: FEZ ETF, NYSE-would you buy for a USD portfolio looking ahead to improving economy in EU?
Q: HLSS,NYSE-fundamentals look pretty good; however, when I read about their business, I do not understand it. Is this a play on the improving economy in the USA & housing specifically-and, would you buy it?
Q: I would like your opinion of Trinity Industries TRN-N as a good industrial pick. The use of railcars in the oil business must be a real bonus to them. THANKS
Q: Hello,
Previously I asked about a stock I hold Sucampo (SCMP) because the stock had decline 30% and I couldn't find a reason why. You kindly looked into the stock and concluded the same. Recent earning were good but didn't impact the stock price.
My question is, should you hold on to a stock that the market doesn't seem to like?

Q: EAT, NYSE, very high ROE of 71%, low payout ration, committed to buying back a huge portion of their shares and appears to increase dividends nominally every year. Would you buy here for a long-term hold?

Q: Sorry, it was Blackstone (BX-NYSE) that I meant to ask about. Biox also sounds interesting but a very different sort of investment.

Q: WY on the NYSE. I have heard that this company should do very well because they have a huge acreage of trees and lumber prices are expected to go up over the next several years as the house building momentum in the USA gains traction. Would you be a buyer of this stock at its current price?
Q: TEVA has been a holding of mine for several years and has been the epitome of dead money. There's certainly been no growth and I wonder is the true PE 8X or 80X as some have it? Can you recommend an U.S. ETF that would represent the industry bearing in mind that I also hold Pfizer?
I note that Valeant is now in the top ten of large cap Canadian companies and do you think it can overtake companies higher up on the list such as Enbridge? Thanks, J.
