Q: Hi Peter,
What are your thoughts on the uranium space and specifcally UEX Corp as a contrarian play. Are we setting ourselves up for another bull market in Uranium? I see Japan is beginning to start up nuclear reactors once again. UEX seems to be sitting at it's low where it has been a few times over the last 10 years or so.Thanks.
Q: AM (auto modular ) Would you have a suggested limit price for it today or sell at market price? What is the process for making such a decision given the circumstances?
Thanks.
Q: Hi peter, am-- automdular has a trading halt at 1 pm, just wondering if you know the reason, i think you have bloomberg terminal which of course i do not. Thanks. Dave
Zenyatta (ZEN) is down today on what is seemly good news regarding their drilling program. I have read the report and I see the trading activity... could this be selling triggered by stops or is something else going on?
Q: I thank Peter and all the folks at 5i for your insight and advice on investing matters. I'm coming up to my renewal date and will definitely be renewing!
I have a position (approx 10% / $10k) in Automodular (AM), on the basis (among other things) of their diversification plans into non-automotive i.e. wind energy.
On May 13 you mentioned in response to another member's question the end of AM's wind contract.
What would be the source of that information? Where, other than chance hearing it from you, would an investor learn of such developments?
If AM are planning on or in danger of "getting out of" the non-automotive business, it would be time for me to rethink my investment in AM.
Q: CAD (Colonial Coal) Last summer Desjardins suggested this met coal company with interests in northeast BC was a possible takeover candidate with a price target of $1.35 (since reduced to .95). Price then was .75 but has since dropped to the .35 range, which is just above tangible book. What is your view? Just another best-avoided penny stock, one to keep an eye on or worth a small position at this price?
Q: Hi Peter and 5i: What is your assessment of Acadian's (ADN) quarter (the business, not the stock, to start with)? Then, while the stock may be up nicely on 52 weeks, it has spent most of the last 3 months below its 50-day moving average and for anyone who bought near the January peak it must feel somewhat painful. Would you be patient with the stock at this point or look for a vehicle with a better participation record? The ETF WOOD is up over the same three month period. ADN has the yield and dividend tax credit advantage but WOOD has been better on total return. Thoughts? Thanks!
Q: Hi
Now that Chorus - CHR.B has cut the dividend in half do you see any upside in the stock from here now that the dividend uncertainty has been removed?
Many thanks
Q: Mercator Minerals (ML)-- mainly a copper miner. Price is down to a new low. Has been a good performer in the past. What is your opinion of the near future prospects.
