Q: I hold Cameco now for nearly 2 years in my RRSP account, which is 100% invested in diversified canadian equities. I felt the company prospects were tantalizing and bought it for the long term. While the market has done pretty well over this 2yr period, I am slightly underwater here. I am wondering if there is an opportunity cost lost here and should I get out now when traditionally there could be seasonal strength?
If you think I should indeed get out, what would you replace it with either in Canada or USA? I have a fairly well diversified portfolio with no exposure to metals/mining and a very small exposure in healthcare with PHM, 10% in oil and gas and overweight in financials. Would you consider switching to Seven generations if trading below $20, something else in Canada or do you have a suggestion something south of the border.
I know this question now extends to more than one, and if you prefer, give a separate answer. How would you compare Tourmaline and Seven Generations @ around 20 dollars?
I would appreciate your viewpoint.

I am puzzled why you choose to release your top picks to the general public first, and not to your subscribers at all? I had to hunt down your BNN top picks via another web site as I couldn't even find much recent info about them on 5iresearch.com

My question relates to the future building of LNG plants in BC. Although this might be many years away before building actually begins, are you able to identify any companies that may be in a position to benefit from the construction aspect at this time. Given that there is very special need for very specific types of either construction or manufacture of specific types of infrastructure for these plants, I would think that there may be a limited amount of companies that could provide the product or the expertise.

Any thoughts you may have for this potential long term investment would be appreciated.

Q: What do you think about a RME and CVL vs ACQ for a long term BUY (5yrs)?

ACQ is roughly UP 40% on a YEAR CHART vs RME & CVL DOWN roughly 20%.

I have looked at basic ratios.

P/E RME 14%, CVL 14% ACQ 30%
YIELD RME 4.1% CVL 4.5% ACQ 1.5%
PAYOUT RME 54% CVL 77% ACQ 44%
GR MARGINRME 13.8% CVL 18% ACQ 17%
ROE RME 9.27% CVL 9% ACQ 21%
DEBT/EQ RME 24% CVL 38% ACQ 141%

To me looks like AGRI is the low side of a cycle and why it is a laggard right now compared to increasing high cars sales in Canada.

Can you give me your thoughts on RME and CVL vs ACQ?

Q: This is a 2 part portfolio editing question:
1. I hold BDT as well as STN and WSP. Should I hold all 3 or sell BDT and split the funds between STN and WSP?
2. I hold CHW and have a paper loss on it as I do with AVO and ACQ. Thinking several years up the road, would I be better off selling CHW and re-investing in AVO and ACQ, both of which you appear to like; or simply hang on to CHW?

Q: I have roughly a 14% position in Altagas (ala), Pembina (ppl), and Interpipe (ipl), collectively. I was thinking of selling one entirely or part positions in all three and using a portion of those funds to purchase Shawcor (scl) which is trading around 12.45x 2015 earnings.

To make up for the lost dividend income, I plan on purchasing Sunlife (slf) as I only have a 1.85% exposure to the insurance sector (I have pwf).

Any thoughts? Thanks again, as always.
