Q: How long did the last stagflation in U.S. last?

5i Research Answer:

Economists generally associate the last clear U.S. stagflation episode with the 1970s, running roughly from the early 1970s until the early 1980s, so on the order of about a decade. Definitions differ slightly, so you will see narrower windows inside that range. Some economic historians emphasize a core stagflation phase from about 1973–1974 through the mid‑1970s, when inflation, unemployment, and weak growth clearly coincided.
