Q: Do you think the Russell 2000 is likely to outperform S&P and NASDAQ in 2026-27? There are many Russell 2000 (and Russell 2000 subset) ETFs. Which would you recommend (CAD and USD) for a) general exposure and b) growth.
5i Research Answer:
Prediction are never easy, but after a long period of underperformance we think small caps will outperform. In the US we would suggest IJR (general), IWO (growth). In Canada, XSU (hedged) and XSMH (hedged). We do not have a small cap growth specific suggestion for a Canadian-traded ETF.
