Q: Suncor is on a bit of a tear recently. It has just surpassed its 2008 peak. Is that relevant? I have held it for ages and I have never been impressed, but it is one of my few oil and gas stocks. Any thoughts are appreciated?

In Canadian dollars, SU was $72.37 in May 2008 before the world collapsed. It is close but has not surpassed this. It is not hugely relevant. Some technical analysts will like it if it hits an all-time high, and it can help sentiment, certainly. We like it. It is diversified, cheap, growing, well-managed and offers a good dividend with growth potential.
