Q: Any reason for the drop in price of this ETF over the past few days? It normally doesn’t bounce around too much.

5i Research Answer:

The drop could be explained partly by the dividend payout, as the ex-dividend date of CVD is December 30, which amounts to just over $0.07. In addition, the volatility could also be related to year-end liquidity driven by tax deadlines, portfolio rebalancing, etc. These factors could affect the price without having anything to do with fundamentals.
