Q: A young gas attendant was admiring my brand new Harley, he said he would never have enough money to buy one. I told him how I did, investing in stocks. He asked where is a good place for a guy that knows nothing about stocks to start learning?

5i Research Answer:

We would suggest 5i Research and Canadian MoneySaver as a good starting point!

For some books we might suggest 'One up on Wall Street' by Lynch and 'Common Stocks, Uncommon Profits' By Fisher.

Outside of this, sometimes the best way to learn is just by doing. Open an account, start small, try buying an ETF and get a feel for things. Then when comfortable move onto a stock(s) and so on.
