WELL Health Technologies Corp. (WELL $5.77)

HealWELL AI Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (AIDX $1.55)
Specifically this applies to AIDX's recent report where EPS was -2cents but EBITDA was $1.9 million.
Also is AIDX a company completely on its own or a subsidiary of another one.
Thanks.
EPS is net income divided by the shares outstanding, to give earnings per share. To get EBITDA, you add back interest, taxes, and depreciation to net income. So, sometimes you can have negative earnings, but once you add back the 'other stuff', you can get to positive EBITDA. On which one is more important, it tends to depend on the company, industry and stage of maturity a company is at. Typically for larger, more mature companies, more prominence might be given to earnings. But if it is a smaller, higher growth company, investors might be willing to move up the income statement and focus on other line items instead of earnings.
Healwell (AIDX) is its own standalone company however WELL Health does own 35% of AIDX and they have some operational partnerships with one another. So, while it is its own company, there is some dependency on another company.
