5i Research Answer:
We like high-interest savings ETFs. They're liquid, there are no minimum investment amounts required, and they generally have low MERs. For high-interest savings ETFs, right now we like (ranked from highest to lowest): PSA, HISA, CASH, CSAV, HSAV.
Comparing CASH to TDB8150: CASH has an AUM of $6.7B, an MER of 0.11%, and a gross yield of 2.63%. TDB8150 has a yield of 2.3%, a minimum investment of $100, and generally no to little fees. Given the higher net yield of CASH, and the better flexibility, we would give CASH the edge today.
